When the Tea Parties appeared on the scene in 2009, some argued that they seemed to be the second coming of the supporters of H. Ross Perot --- right-leaning but wary of the traditional leadership of the Republican party, deeply concerned about budgetary and debt issues, and generally disgusted with Washington and incumbents.

he sold his company to Dell and has been living fat and happy off the checks
Yes, he sold to Dell. But fat and happy? Yeah ... happy. But still living the way he’s lived for decades. Even drives his old Ford to work each day. One of the most down to earth guys I’ve ever met.
My ex mother-in -laws father gave Perot his first loan to get started, in New Boston Texas. He was a banker there.
Who cares! As long as he stays put, keeps his yap shut and stays far away from the election. While he’s at it, invite Dole to come and visit and don’t let him out of the bunker until after the election.
I’m still waiting to hear all the dirt on Bill Clinton that Ross promised to tell us when he first showed us the stick with the chicken leg attached to it.
Fat and happy in the sense that he seems to just want to enjoy it and not spend his time in politics.
Was Perot the one who went back on his word when he said, “Read My Lips”?
Ah! Understood.
FWIW ... he’s still a small little fella.
Last i heard he was “checking under the hood”
He must be in his 90s by now isn’t he?
we keep him chained in the basement.
My cousin worked with him when he was at the helm of his company. Her hospital was making a large purchase of equipment and Ross gave her his personal contact information and told her if she had any questions or issues to please call him directly. Gotta say, the guy certainly knows how to make an impression doing business the old way.
WAS 82 YEARS OLD IN JUNE....
more than likely a bit senile and he can stay hidden where ever that is...
Judging from the article, he's still a loose cannon, likely to lend his name to half-baked organizations and causes that are meaningless to anyone but a few interested in the nebulous agendas of on-paper-only organizations that crop up here and there every day.
Is anyone outside of himself still interested in what this old looney-tune has to say?
Let him make a big contribution to the GOP Senate and House election committees and I might perk up a little in regards to H. Ross Perot
Leni
“Right leaning”?
The old snake oil salesman was seriously “Crony Capitalism leaning”.
He built is fortune lobying no bid computer contracts for his hugely overprices wares.
Just imagine had Ross won the election...No Nafta...No WTO...No one world gov’t...No globalisation...
....... no jobs
Not at all senile, not kept chained in the basement (he offices on the 4th floor actually), yes ... still driving himself around. He hasn't lost a step.
