There are reports of multiple people shot outside the Empire State Building.
FOX 5 News has learned that at least three people have been shot.
The scene is chaotic as people make their way to work in the heavily trafficked area.
One person is in police custody.
FOX 5 News and SkyFoxHD are headed to the scene.
MyFoxNY.com is updating this story

1- My first thought was oh my- if he’s actually gay...the narrative will change STAT. He will be a misunderstood, depressed man. It also turns out this guy was laid off a year ago- and has been involved with multiple lawsuits against the man/company who let him go..
2- Rush mentions how many people in Chicago have been shot and/or murdered in the last week...UNREPORTED by the msm.
Chucky is somewhere sulking and steaming, Bloomie beat him to a camera!
He may have been on a golf course with Z-Bama.
"ATTICA....ATTICA!"
The woods are lovely, dark, and deep, but I have promises to keep. And miles to go before I sleep, and miles to go before I sleep. Remember. Miles to go before I sleep.
I thought Bloomberg outlawed guns? See, if someone were allowed to CC, the guy could’ve been stopped after his first shot.
This is the inherent unreliability of eyewitness accounts. Have ten people witness the same thing and you'll -always- get ten very different stories and descriptions. People will get surprisingly simple facts just plain wrong. It's unfortunate but that's the way it is. Eyewitnesses are just not to be trusted. Not without some other corroborating evidence.
“This is the inherent unreliability of eyewitness accounts.”
That is exactly what I was trying to point out! At this point though, I’m leaning toward the construction worker. As the first murder was in a less confusing, less active environment. No people running around in panic then. I gotta see if I can find that link again.
Yep..and then the next thing we will hear is that his victim fired him because he was gay....so the boss had it coming.
Or they will just drop the story altogether...move along.
“Cold-blooded killer Jeffrey Johnson, wearing a business suit and carrying a briefcase, pumped three fatal bullets into his victim near the 33rd St. entrance to the skyscraper, a witness told the Daily News.”
“He shot the guy in the head, said Ogden, 23. The guy went down. He took a second shot when he was down.
The shooter then walked down the block, like nothing was happening, real casual, Ogden said. We were screaming from the top, Its the guy in the grey suit!
Heres the link;
The construction worker saw it from above, and the shooter might have been wearing a gray jacket or blazer. The witness probably wouldn’t have noticed the pants from above.
The tan pants might have been more obvious at street level.
I have a “purse” -— my grandmother had a “pocketbook”
gold clasp on top — 4 inch handle
Told a niece who moved to NYC if she ever used the word “pocketbook”, she could not come back to NE
Shooting was carried out by a women’s fashion accessories designer? Looks like the media can call this shooter a tea bagger and be accurate for once.
That could be a scammer. I witnessed a few of these while I was working in NY back in the 80’s. People would fall and lay on the ground hoping for some dupe to bend over to help and they would knock them over and steal what they could. It usually happened near a large intersection or a subway stop.
I remember when a “bum” grabbed my date’s hand after she gave him some change and went for her purse. I had to punch his face poking his eyes a few times to get him to loosen his grip.
Hence I am an ex-NYer.
“I hate to profile(snark) but a male handbag designer might be gay. In that case, we may have yet another militant homosexual shooting here.”
Looking more likely.... (or, lovers’ bad break=up?). Too soon to know, but workplace harassment definitely involved.
See link at Dr. Bogus Pachysandra’s post 149.
From linked article:
“The killer [JEFFREY JOHNSON] and his victim [Steve Ercolino] had a history of problems, with each accusing the other of workplace harassment, said NYPD Commissioner Raymond Kelly.”
Yup. 99 posts and not a single prayer or kind word for the victims.
Only fear of blame and contempt for New Yorkers.
"You brute....You brute.....You Vicious Brute!"
There have always been shootings across the country every day.
It's the coverage that has increased.
And the coverage isn't random.
Didn't Jesus say "Don't be like the Pharisees, who pray in public?"
Nonetheless, I foresee a very short FR life for you.
And I won't offer a kind word or prayer when you are gone.
This isn’t possible. Firearms are prohibited BY LAW from being carried in NY City.
