No, the last bit refers to your “Hulka” name....from “Stripes”...as in, I get it!
And yeah, the SEAL team guys can take care of themselves but I wouldn’t put it past the rag heads to go after grandma, kitty, dog or stock broker...anyone unprotected and vulnerable that is associated with someone who offed Osama.

This revelation is all part of Fox's "fair and balanced" schtick.

O'Reilly should be orgasmic.

Just to be be "fair", I'm hereby releasing the name of the chief of a crack Muslim SEALS unit operating deep within the remote tribal hills of Afghanistan.

His name is (drum roll) ALI AKHBAR MOHAMMED, JR.

It goes without saying that Mohammed and his wives and family should be worried about their man being outed, too, just like our guy's family in Alaska.

I hope all the producers at Fox don't mind me scoooping them with my revelation of this top-secret information. It's "fairness" at its finest.

Didnt know proceeds were going to military charity. I dont believe it was right to publish a book. I also dont think it was right to publish photos of Abu Grab.

I agree that time should pass. It makes no sense to write a book that the info could put lives in danger. Maybe it doesnt disclose names, but we still have alot of our men and women over there. Why fan the flames of hate.

Hear that brother.

And Wrangle is on an island, if I recall.

Lives in paradise and on the side of angels, this Chief.

Just what I was thinking. If the concern of the OP is to keep his name as private as possible, why post it on FR?

It’s the fire principle.

If you want to put out a fire, the last thing you do is throw gasoline on the flames.

Let the other outlets for information have the guilt of exposing the man.

It’s not too late.

Ask one of the mods to edit his name out of the OP’s post.

Don’t make Free Republic one of the outlets who have perpetrated his “outting”.

Fox News surely didn’t “out” him. Somebody outed him to Fox News. If FN had not aired it it would have been taken to another outlet. The kenyan benefits by complicating the life of the Seal who is making life uncomfortable for the President. By coming through FN it is hoped that folks won’t think that the kenyan is doing the deed.

.
In a Police State, the military vets everything, in a Free State the truth prevails.

Obama’s military has no credibility with me; I’ll wait until the coup is repelled.

Once one name is leaked that will lead to others and their families. This author and seal was a fool for letting his ego and greed get ahead of his brain and common sense, and hoping to make a fast buck. This exposes himself and others to repercussions. He needs held accountable and he needed to go through the chain of command for approval before writing this even if he was discharged. I would think that the mission and details remain classified.

This doesn’t surprise me coming from Murdoch and Fox News. They will report anything and do anything if it gets them a scoop.

Men of that caliber aren't afraid of much in our physical world. You'd have to bring in other SEALs or crater his entire property from above to take him out.

Exactly! I sure wouldn't want to be part of any team sent in to take him out. Remember the movie Shooter ? That was Hollywood. In real life these guys are a lot deadlier.

As far as other posters blaming FOX and shifting your viewership to other stations, that is simply ridiculous! Everybody has feet of clay but at least FOX NEWS cares about the nation and where it's going. The anchors and the show hosts all seem to fall in line with my general point of view. I can not say that about any other network, not by a longshot! The other guys love to hear folks here say stuff like that. It just makes them drool. If nothing else, think about your kids. In my classroom, I only let my students watch FOX (when I have a working TV -- I don't this year ~sigh~) because all the others will subtly or not so subtly reinforce the liberal, globalist lefty programs that are currently being rammed down our kids throats in the school systems across the nation. Unless of course you homeschool. There have to be options. Fox ain't perfect, but it's go to be an option.

I didn't say ALL special forces are that capable. They usually work as a team and each member is extremely capable in certain things. But sometimes, you get that guy that is nearly superhuman in everything.

I know the incidents you speak of but fighting hand to hand is much different from facing an equipped SF member.

Show me a single story where an elite SF member was killed by civilians while armed.

The trouble is, if this guy can be tracked down to his home address, he isn’t likely to be tooled up with his team on high alert as if he was on ops in the Hindu Kush, he’s going to be at home, going to the store, driving to work (dropping the kids off!) and doing the kind of things most normal people do.
Is he supposed to spend the rest of his life at condition orange/red? Even if he could, it isn’t really fair that he has been put in the position of having to be.

True. I wonder sometimes if people are actually paying attention to the liberal creep at Fox or instead seeing them through the reputation they acquired in days past. They have liberal hosts and anchors, and most of their so-called Republican slant is of the so-called “moderate” or fiscal conservative variety. Social conservatism is treated on Fox no better than CNN.

Not that CNN and the rest are better, not by a long shot. Real conservatives can count on talk radio and some internet sites and that’s it.

yep! a station that would hire Geraldo, Bill O’Reilly or Juan Williams would do anything they can to be disrepectful.

Read this...my money is still on this book not making it to the shelves on the release date...be sure to note it WAS NOT vetted by the publishing house with the military....the author provided an attorney(who is familiar with special ops)..who vetted it.

That’s true. It is. When I lived there, it was a tiny town. Everyone knew everyone’s business. Great shrimp fries.
