While many scientists have some dire warnings against us trying to geoengineer our way out of the climate crisis, others don’t necessarily see it that way and are working on new methods to solve the problem.
Researchers at the University of Washington’s College of the Environment Institute are studying the idea of cloud brightening, utilizing ships to shoot salt water high into the atmosphere over the oceans in order to create long-lasting cloud cover. The additional clouds reflect more sunlight back into space, resulting in a cooling effect on the planet. In order to encourage discussion amongst other climate scientists, UW atmospheric physicist Rob Wood detailed how a small-scale experiment to test the idea would work in a paper published in the journal Philosophical Transactions of the Royal Society.
“What we’re trying to do is make the case that this is a beneficial experiment to do,” Wood said, adding that because geoengineering is controversial he “would rather that responsible scientists test the idea than groups that might have a vested interest in proving its success.”

Not to long ago if any one would seriously propose something like this, they would be either laughed at or some guys in white suits with large butterfly nets would show up and take them away for a nice long rest in a padded room.
Today, not only are the not dismissed as kooks, they are actually taken seriously in the news and they actually given tax money to study their ideas.

Not too long ago, our Nation believed in God, and trusted in His judgement. Now we have turned our backs on God and trust in men. And men are inherantly foolish.

They concede that some of the more spectacular solutions proposed, such as melting the Arctic ice cap by covering it with black soot or diverting arctic rivers, might create problems far greater than those they solve... The longer the planners delay, the more difficult will they find it to cope with climatic change once the results become grim reality.

This whole thing sounds vaguely racist, we need to hear from Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson on this issue I think.
This idea is no less “genius” than the Martian rover scam. For untold billions, they have landed a machine on Mars to verify what they’ve already known for decades. Mars looks a lot like the desert Southwest, populated by a lack of water, a lot of dust and rocks, and absolutely nothing of real interest. For an over-degreed and little educated bunch of grown up children, we have spent billions upon billions for their personal hobbies. This scam should go on for three years or so until they dream up their next scam. Heard of any scientific breakthroughs from the space station lately?
