Heres what Missouri Congressman Todd Akin said when I asked if he was in the race to stay even if it looked like he would lose and possibly cost Republicans control of the Senate.
Well George, Im never going to say everything that could possibly happen. I dont know the future, but I do know this. I knew that the party voters took a look at our hearts, understood who we were, had a chance to meet us in many, many different ways and made a decision, Akin told me. And it makes me uncomfortable to think that the party bosses are going to dictate who runs as opposed to the election process.

This is how the media chooses our candidates
I think if Rand Paul or Mike Huckabe asked him to leave he would.
He self selected.
Rush, Sean Hannity, Mark Levin and several other conservative talk show hosts, plus (from what I can see) the majority of Freepers want this gentleman to step down, for the sake of the country.
I agree.
Akin needs to stand strong against the Yellow Bellied RINO’s and their sycophants in the MSM who want to destroy a Strong Pro LIfe Conservative.
“...Yellow Bellied RINOs and their sycophants in the MSM...”
You mean like:
Tea Party Express?

It still the ECONOMY people.
As my mother was always fond of saying, “Is this the hill you want to die on?”
Do we really want to risk not getting control of the Senate, and with it our last, best shot of repealing Obamacare and undoing the other destructive stuff Obama has done to our country, to make a point on principle about how the media should not be allowed to choose our candidates for us?
For me the stakes are too high. We can fight that battle about the media some other day.
If a serious third party candidate materializes and starts drawing support, old Toddy boy will probably take the hint. It must suck to be him. I wonder how many people are showing up at his appearances. Word is that he’s still polling slightly ahead of McCaskill. It sucks more to be her.
I agree. Maybe it would help if people thought about how 64% of Republican voters in the primary chose someone else, and both Steelman and Brunner were beating McCaskill before the primary by 6% (compared to Akin beating McCaskill by 3% before he “self selected” as someone said).
time for another lefty RINO Senator?? Cuz that is what we will get.
Don’t do it Akin. You will win and do great things in the Senate. 3 months is an ETERNITY...not even 48 hours yet....keep strong!!! A conservative in the Senate will be wonderful. In fact, we will take you and have Scott Brown go away.
The akin fool strapped on his own suicide vest and the people are trying to keep him from becoming a murderer with his stupidity.
Causes me to wonder whether Akin is negotiating behind the scene with GOPe and trying to retire wealthy.
Or, more simply stated, they didn’t reach ‘his’ price yesterday.
Have called for Akin to step down for the sake of the country:
Rush Limbaugh
Sarah Palin
Sean Hannity
Mark Levin
Tea Party Express
Charles Krauthammer
Dennis Prager
Ann Coulter
National Review editorial board
Hugh Hewitt
etc etc etc
Christian conservative radio hosts Steve Deace and Mike Gallagher have stated in no uncertain terms that they want Akin to stay in.

No... It is a nice easy slow ball down the center of the plate for every Democrat. Warren is mentioning it now in MA and it will certainly spread. Just like saying the Mark Foley issue was only the business of a single district in Florida.
Anyone who needs to use a “comb over” is to be studied at very carefully!
I know this is a “Rat” site but it’s worth a read. http://missouridems.org/content/report-akin-secured-31-million-earmarks-campaign-donors
