In my opinion Sarah Palin should have avoided this .

Mama griizzly can get all mad but so what.

Democrats defend theirs ,Republicans avage their own. Stupid.

Independent registration deadline was on July 30st. The “sore loser” law does not allow a previous candidate to run after they lost the primary. It seems that the only option left, unless unknown option as of today, is a write in. Tough one.

Yes, a good chance that would split the vote letting McCaskill win.

He's toast now behind 7-10%. A "split vote" won't be needed for McCaskill to win. If might take until late September's second deadline for idiot Akin to realize he's done.

When asked, Palin declined to ask Steelman to run third-party (smart since Steelman can't under a quirk of MO law) but said if he's not out by the September deadline, a third-party challenge is needed and suggested someone "like Sarah Steelman," a pro-life, common sense conservative.

I agree...but we have to change our moral code to the Law of the Jungle (i.e., how the Dems work) BEFORE trying to salvage people like Akin. We’re simply not able to street-fight at this point, so we have to get rid of people that make fools of themselves.

(and by we, I mean enough of the Republican voters...many, like me, would still support Akin, but many others still will not)

The full interview is at the Daily Caller: Palin hints at backing third party candidate against Akin-McCaskill in Missouri Senate

I wonder if Sarah Palin will support Ron Paul if he decides to go third party.

Why would she support an asshole like Ron Paul?

Frankly, I think much of the bellyaching going on here in FR is from Palin supporters who are upset that their candidate didn't win.

Frankly, your comment is a good bet for the "Moronic Post Of The Year" award.

Ya gotta have 2 parties before you can have a 3rd.

There is a Rulling party, and their servants, at present.

Really? Frankly I think with Palin advocating a 3rd Party run for Steelmen, it makes a great deal of sense.

You’re not going to like me for this but Akin would say “well, unlike you at least I didn’t quit.”

But that assumes there is some virtue for not being a quitter, no matter what.

“The problem is not “our Sarah,” as in Palin. The problem is OUR Sarah, the one here is Missouri, as in Steelman. She has not done well even in primaries her last couple tries”

Come on. STeelman vs the Akin that we now know? Steelman would win in a landslide. Anyone would.

McCaskill is going to win anyway. At least with third party, it will generate enthusiasm and ensure we don’t get beat down the ballot.

Maybe Sarah should put her money where her mouth is and run for the seat herself.

I think Palin trying to push for her candidate for a 3rd Party run makes my case seem very plausible.

Not really, Akin doesn’t have a shot in hell, why not try something else. The biggest benefit of this, as mentioned is giving someone for Romney and Ryan to appear with at campaign events, for obvious reasons they shouldn’t be anywhere within a 50 mile radius of Akin at this point.

LOL, Akin doesn't have leprosy. And he certainly can win. Normal people don't shred someone to pieces and hate them because they make one mistake and apologize for it. And if people are convinced we need changes in policy from the Obama regime, why would they vote for McCaskill over Akin? If they're not convinced of that, why would they have voted for Akin in the first place?

Has Palin ever not supported the female candidate in a Republican primary when a female was running, other than her dreaded arch-enemy Murkowski? Sometimes I’m not sure if Palin’s being a savvy politician or if she’s trying to cast the conservative version of Charlie’s Angels.
