Remember how the far left in America has said since the rise of the Tea Party that the right is awash in "violent rhetoric"? What about the proposition to kill the Boy Scouts like one would kill a rabid dog? That is what a columnist for The Atlantic has implied.
James Hamblin, the magazine's health editor, proclaimed his desire to kill Boy Scouts based on his distaste for their recently re-affirmed policy of refusing to admit openly gay members. Hamblin feels justified in using violent, even hateful rhetoric to attack the Boy Scouts merely because he disagrees with them.
Boy Scouts is an organization that was and is so close to being great. Remember when they had to put Old Yeller down because he got rabies? It's not like he was a bad dog, but he got a brain infection and he tried to eat Travis
Apparently the First Amendment only applies if you agree with gays?
It should be noted that Hamblin posted his desire to kill Boy Scouts the day after another gay activist tried to do just that, kill people with whom he disagrees. Hamblin posted his hate-mongering screed the day after a gay activist entered the Washington DC headquarters of the Family Research Council intent on mass murder.
Hamblin next went on a hyperbolic trip of accusations that the Scout's policy will "cause."

I keep looking up for the big asteroid.

BSA is about building character and integrity amongst young men, not to teach them that homosexuality is a good thing. I'd imagine the BSA would look poorly upon a scout who wanted to openly discuss the mechanics of his heterosexual desires.
The fact that those on the left can't see that is disgusting.
Remember, Ernest Rohme and the Brown Shirts were Hitler Gay Storm Troopers...
My only consolation is the knowledge that when the Terrors starts, we are far more heavily armed than they.
The BSA will keep fighting this for as long as there are parents and Scouters determined to keep queers away from impressionable young men whose sole purpose in Scouting is to learn and grow.
Sex, perversion, etc. have no place in the organization.
Scout ping to SandRat
Homo agenda ping to wagglebee
This sounds like inciting murder.
The ‘tolerant’ Left strikes again.
You know, some day we may have to take these idiots seriously.
Seems to me this Hamblin just proved that the GBLT crowd constitutes a HATE GROUP ~ and not only that a VIOLENT HATE GROUP
Time for a new merit badge...
...the Glock merit badge.
This is not just one person's opinion. The Left hates BSA and the boys who participate in BSA.
If Obama wins reelection I fully expect him to immediately attack BSA’s ability to operate:
- Ban from US military bases
- Ban BSA from conducting activities in federal parks or on federal land
- Ban US military forces from participating in/supporting BSA
One of the kids just yesterday was telling me how close he’s getting to making Eagle Scout. He’s so proud, and I told him how proud I am of him.
For God and Country....
The muslim in the white hut told them to get in your faces .
That’s exactly what they are doing .
Number one enemy right now is fundamental Christians (Born again Christians ) this will soon change . This is how it started in Nazi Germany .
I never imagined I would live to see the day that I would see this starting to repeat in my own country of all places .
It’s going to get ugly
Of course, it’s not a hate crime if the left commits it.
What’s next? Protesting the Boy Scouts for not admitting Girls?
The man who wrote this should be promptly arrested.
Often, lengthwise, and repeatedly.
The number of letters from Scouts returning their Eagle and resigning from Scouting pale in comparison with the number of Scouts who would resign if BSA decided to embrace homosexuality the way the activists want.
And the Girls Scouts should have heterosexual male scout leaders too. Fair is fair.
The left gleefully engages in the age-old sport of Christian Bashing, taking their rhetoric closer and closer to the realm of actual physical persecution. They fail to realize, however, that unlike the days of Roman persecution, we’re armed to the teeth this time.
