Transparency? Here's some Real Transparency Good grief! How stupid does the Obama campaign think Americans are? How much contempt do those Chicago elitists have for those of us out here clinging to our guns, our religion and because of them and their incompetent leader, our livelihoods?
I'm referring, of course, to this latest bit of preposterousness emanating from the White House spinmeisters: the turnout crowds at Obama campaign events are intentionally small because we're deliberately controlling access to maintain an atmosphere of intimacy between the great one and our true Kool-Aid drinkers.
Excuse me, but Bwa-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha!!!
Sure you are, Axelrod. As any successful political campaign consultant will tell you, it's really smart to keep the crowds small and make that really close, confidential connection. Sure it is, especially at fundraisers. That's a real formula for winning, know what I mean?
Who wants the tens of thousands of enthusiastically cheering voters who are turning out at the Romney/Ryan events? That's just so gauche and totally unbecoming, not to mention a testimony to the coarseness and unsophistication of those spiritual, gun-loving knuckle-draggers who unfortunately occupy such a large geographical portion of America. Bunch of damn Tea Party fools, don't you agree Mr. Plouffe? When you and Axelrod write your book chronicling the disastrous and failed campaign you concocted in 2012, perhaps the chapter on limiting the crowds at Obama events should be titled:
Crowds? We don't need no stinking crowds!

With such admissions about the mental competence of their own voters, is it surprising they transfer that perception onto other voters?
Barnum.
H. L. Mencken is better known for “Every normal man must be tempted at times to spit on his hands, hoist the black flag, and begin to slit throats.”
Is this a trick question, or akin to "does a bear poop in the woods?"
Anyone read the column?
Mencken in a column that he wrote.
His actual words were:
No one in this world, so far as I know and I have searched the records for years, and employed agents to help me has ever lost money by underestimating the intelligence of the great masses of the plain people. Nor has anyone ever lost public office thereby.
Over time, this longer quote came to be paraphrased and misquoted, most commonly in the form No one ever went broke underestimating the intelligence of the American public.
You took the words right out of my mouth.
Americans largely believe whatever the media TELLS them they should believe.
Communist Goal #20 (from “The Naked Communist”): Infiltrate the press. Get control of book-review assignments, editorial writing, policy-making positions.
Communist Goal #21 (ibid): Gain control of key positions in radio, TV, and motion pictures.
The majority of Obama’s base are “Useful Idiots”. Of course he thinks they are stupid, and they are.
Stupid enough to elect his sorry ass the first time around.
How stupid ?......extremely!....they put him there!
All he has to do is look around to get his answer.
Obummer: “Three`s a crowd.”
Pretty stupid. And for his demographic he’s right
They were enough stupid enpough to elect him in 2008.And many tens of millions of stupid people will vote for him again in 2012.
They were enough stupid enpough to elect him in 2008.
"There were enoough stupid people to elect him in 2008."
I think you’ve said it all. What more proof do they need? lol
“In 2008 52% were pretty stupid.”
In 2008 56.8% of the voting age population went to the polls and 52.9% of those who voted selected Barack Obama/Joe Biden. Obama was therefore elected by 30% of the voting age population. 63.6% of eligible voters turned out, with 33.6% of eligible voters voting for Obama. It is noteworthy that 2/3 of the voting age population and eligible voters either voted against Obama or didn’t care enough to cast a vote. High voter apathy results in modern presidents being elected by a minority of citizens who can vote.
95% of the black voters cast ballots for Obama. 55% of the white voters cast votes for McCain. 67% of Hispanics voted for Obama. 62% of Asian voters went for Obama.
66% of the under age 30 vote went for Obama. 54% of under 30 white voters went for Obama. 71% of first time voters went for Obama. The voter turnout % for young black voters was greater than the turnout for any other racial group for the first time in history.
The voter turnout rate for white voters dropped from 67.2% in 2004 to 66.1% in 2008.
Unless there is an unprecedented increase in voter turnout, (i.e. the apathetic citizens actually go to the polls) whoever wins in 2012 will be elected by about 33% of those eligible to vote. Based on demographics, more of the apathetic voters belong to minority groups that tend to vote Democrat, explaining why Democrats do not want voter ID requirements at polling places. Their strategy on election day is to bring bus loads of apathetic citizens to the polls, some of whom are not registered.
With respect to 52% of the voters being “stupid” I’d prefer to say they voted in their self interest. For a voter who is dependent on government checks to maintain his/her lifestyle it would be stupid not to vote for the candidate promising to spread the wealth around. One might say the members of the taxpaying class who failed to turn out to vote were the stupid citizens.
For Obama to win in 2012, all he needs is lower white turnout and a slight improvement in minority turnout. Expect to see busloads of voters at the polls in November, brought in by Democrat, union, and community organizations. Will Romney and Ryan be able to excite enough apathetic taxpayers to vote in 2012 to counter the Obama’s powerful ground game? If Republicans cannot find a way to increase turnout, or find a compelling story to attract minorities and young voters, demographics and apathy will ensure Democrat victories in future national races.
bump
I think Americans for the most part and stupid AND apathetic.
