LONDONDERRY, N.H. When President Barack Obama made an unannounced stop at a farm market here on Saturday, he likely had no idea how much some of his recent comments have caused quite a stir with its employees and management.
Before a fired-up campaign speech in Windham, N.H., Obama stopped at Mack's Apples, a farm market that specializes in sales of fresh fruit. It was a place Obama visited twice in 2008, holding two campaign rallies on the property.
But lately, the management at Mack's has noticed some of Obama's comments that have been seized by Republicans and caused a fury among some business owners: "If you've got a business, you didn't build that."
Republicans and the Romney campaign have tried to use the quote as an example of Obama's philosophy that business is dependent upon government. Obama and Democrats have pushed back, saying that the quote, in context, reinforces a fairly standard idea that businesses benefit from government investment in infrastructure.
Mack's Apples management identifies more with the Republican interpretation. Evelyn Keller, the store's manager, told Business Insider later Saturday that the comments have caused some "concern" with the market's employees.
"Personally, I think if we give all the credit to government, we're going to lose sight of encouragement to others who need it to start businesses," Keller said, adding that her uneasiness with the remark stems from her family's experience in Nazi-led Germany.

Why doesn’t Obama say: “People don’t get to the apple farm if government doesn’t build the roads.” ?
or maybe this :
“Government pays for schools so that when the farmer gets sick he can go see a trained doctor instead of dying because there are no doctors.”
C’mom Barry, DEFEND YOUR PHILOSOPHY. Don’t be a wimp.
Too many people understand roads and bridges small businesses use are also used by people who sit on their butts all day and do nothing... It’s NOT the roads...
Well, Obozo, how'd ya like them apples?...............
If it wasn’t for small bussiness, people woundn’t have jobs to send money to the government so they may give you free stuff. Roads, bridges, cell phones, food stamps......
“Obama and Democrats have pushed back, saying that the quote, in context, reinforces a fairly standard idea that businesses benefit from government investment in infrastructure. “
Its because you’re all idiots who don’t understand what the genius Obama was trying to say, in fact Obama is so brilliant that he chooses not to release his college records so feel don’t find out that he got his degree done in a year and spent the rest of the time finding a cure for cancer, however it was buried by Big Pharma, those bastards, although that did not later prevent Obama from negotiating with them to prevent lower-cost pharmaceuticals from entering the US.
But yeah, it’s not that Obama misspoke, its that all you peons are too stupid to understand his intelligence, as a matter of fact, we really shouldn’t have an election, just make him King and let’s get on with it.
“Personally, I think if we give all the credit to government, we’re going to lose sight of encouragement to others who need it to start businesses,” Keller said, adding that her uneasiness with the remark stems from her family’s experience in Nazi-led Germany.
VERY TROUBLING LINE THAT MS. KELLER SAID......
For some folks, that's an old, familiar tune, isn't it?
Excellent point.
There are great roads all over Europe.....so how come they are in deep economic do-do....?
I guess the Euro socialists run out of tax money to build any more.
bttt
Her taxes pay for those roads and bridges, right Odumbo?
Pray for America
Unannounced.
yeah sure
The place is always empty with cameramen standing around.
Obama’s vision is most reminiscence of Nazi-led Germany to those who would know directly.
People dont get to the apple farm if government doesnt build the roads. ?

Has to be put in very simple terms...
The roads weren’t built and paved so you could visit Cousin Matilda, they were built so Farmer Brown could get his crop to market so they could be sold so as to raise more money for the Government, who would then redistribute it, possibly building more roads so more farmers could get to market etc.... And with the roads etc, some one came along and designed and built a bigger truck so as to hold more goods, to raise more money and the cycle continued to grow.
Pols have lost sight of the fact that WE THE PEOPLE are Government and without OUR money etc they would have nothing.
So they just print more and everyone really gets to ‘suffer’.
I find this statement rather shocking.
I live across the highway from this guy, used to drive by frequently. I've even bought apples and pumpkins from him.
"Moonbat" Mac is well known for his huge yard signs that he puts up along his rt 128 frontage, supporting gay marriage, global warming, you name it. If this is an accurate quote then I guess Obama has finally cured him of his liberalism.
47 % of Americans shouldn’t even be ALLOWED to use the nations infrastructure - right? 47 % of Americans are NOT contributing to Americas roads, bridges, national parks or anything else funded by tax dollars.
Obama is an economic illiterate to such an extent that he actually believes the “government” makes it’s own money and then graciously doles it out to us poor, stupid people because they’re so nice.
I think that Obama believes that since the government prints the paper, they own it too.
I have a 6 yearl old smarter than Hussein.
