Yes, according to the reports I read, he has until tomorrow afternoon to unilaterally withdrawal under MO law

At the 3pm ET newsbreak, Fox News Radio is claiming Akin says he WILL NOT step down as Scott Brown called him to do.

Obama's audio was played, McCaskill's comments repeated but no mention of Romney's statement.

The MO GOP need to give Akin the PUSH he deserves.

From what I understand, tomorrow is the last day he can drop out and still be replaced on the ballot. Otherwise he would remain on the ballot and whoever took his place would have to do a write in (or go to court and pull a Lautenberg to get their name put on the ballot regardless of the law, but usually only New Jersey democrats can get away with that)

Macaca by another name.

Meanwhile Biden can say “they gonna put y’all back in chains” without repercussion.

Dana Loesch just reported on 97.1 FM St. Louis that Akin just tweeted that he is in to win.

Also, the Obama/Holder Injustice Department is rumored to have let Roman Polanski walk.

It doesn’t matter what Biden says. WE are the party of CHARACTER. WE want to SET THE EXAMPLE for the country. Pack him up and replace him with the second place finisher. This clown is not the guy we want to fall on our sword for. This seat is too important for what we need to do after the elections.

At least ten times worse than macaca. He needs to step down or this will be a distraction from now until election day. Not just for Missouri, but for the entire country.

Yeah, it's unfair.

So was Clayton Williams vs. Ann Richards. And Bawney Frank vs. Tom Foley. But that's the way it is and the way it shall always be so long as the Enemedia continues to command the attention of such a large slice of the Sheeple.

WE are the party of CHARACTER.

And exactly what did Akin say or do that shows he has poor character?

Let’s hope they get him out and somebody else in ASAP.

Bambi is already talking about it.

I know that Akins didn’t mean it the way it came out, but amGOP goof is not the same as a Dem goof. Biden can say whatever he wants and the Dems will defend him and the press will titter and then ignore it. But Akins should know that a GOPer can’t get away with this.

Barney Frank screwed a boy toy executive at Fannie Mae and then SCREWED the US taxpayer.

I don’t give a craphill what the media has to say about jacksh!t. They are merely partisan propaganda with no genuine concern or outrage voiced.

You're right, of course. But Bawney Frank is still a congress critter and Tom Foley ceased to be one in 2006.

What's more, Foley was a poster boy for a GOP shellacking that year.

Character isn’t necessarily a problem (and one never learns the truth about any politician’s character until after he/she assumes office and follows words with actions). But he certainly is possessed either of bad judgment or of a dearth of usable gray matter. Either way he would be a poor candidate and, likely, a poor officeholder. As a wise person once said, you can’t fix stupid.
