Agreed. There isn’t a “legitimate” rape. Stupid statement, just like US Congressman Hank Johnson from the Georgia 4th who thought Guam would ‘tip over’ if more troops were sent to Anderson AFB there. For debate: How does one identify the difference between “rape” as it was originally defined, and the broad category that now includes morning-after-regrets and I-was-a-little-buzzed-when-I-consented?
I am NOT defending the comment from the Missouri candidate. I am simply trying to figure out how to reclaim the language surrounding this heinous crime so that its definition no longer includes almost every instance of intercourse between humans.
I bet OWS is run largely by guys and they are trying to attract young female protesters because they are partly, maybe mainly, in it to get girls. They know they are substantially immune to retribution in the OWS demonstration milieu. They are too politically correct to be arrested and punished and the girls involved don't want to make the movement look bad just because of a few "bad apples." Well maybe those apples are the major force behind the movement.
