What if we are over 55 and don’t want Medicare? How do we get out of it. All these politicians assume we all love Medicare and many of us don’t want it.

Excellent comments as always Bray. If only GM had followed the lead of Caterpillar a company that was hostage to the UAW 20 years ago.
There are some interesting comments this morning on the left leaning Peoria Journal Star editorial page relative to Caterpillar settling with the striking machinists union in Joliet Ill this week, and their breaking the UAW stranglehold 20 years ago.
Some background ----Twenty years ago, Caterpillar essentially neutered the UAW by rejecting pattern bargaining and going it alone. (Pattern bargaining is a union plan where the UAW negotiates with one manufacturer and all the UAW employers fall in line with similar wages and benefits, or they get shut down by the UAW through strike.) In the mid nineties, CAT said screw you UAW hired replacement workers and after 3 years of pure hell here in Peoria, the Union caved.
So today the Journal Star says and I quote For Caterpillar, this begins to bring above market wages back to a middle ground that will allow the Illinois plant to remain globally competitive. Because Cat has been so aggressive in achieving its contract goals, unlike many a U.S. manufacturer, this company is adding jobs domestically rather than subtracting them. In addition to its work force Cat must also contend with customers and shareholders. For Cat this is a balanced contract that protects, more or less, each of those constituencies
So the bottom line Company prevails, is extremely successful, is hiring people here in the U.S. today, and isnt a hostage to the Union.

I stand by my comment. There are too many conservatives watching for any missteps by Romney or Ryan. I believe Ryan as he explains the changes he envisions to SS and Medicare.
The bottom line is IF we do NOT change SS and Medicare both programs will go bust anyway and seniors will lose what benefits they enjoy today.
The Democrats don’t believe that and believe they can tax the rich enough to bail these programs out, but that’s a fantasy.

I just couldn’t get into the show today. Same ol’ Same ol’ two best shots we got in Cruz and Gov.of Va. both trying to explain to the leftists we are broke. Other than that it was tit for tat with little new except DNC Dave desperately trying to save his “yob”.

I do enjoy asking Democrats and progressives to explain “trickle down” to me. It’s a rare occasion that any of them have any idea of what that means or how it works.

Birch Buy just insulted us all by saying that FNS viewer’s eyes would glaze over on the ObamaCare debate, assume both sides are spinning, and that it would come out as a draw...which favors RATs.

When Jesse Jackson’s daughter and ex governor Wilder are calling Biden and the media out on Biden’s race baiting, it shows the left is having a harder time lying about these gaffes.
I don’t believe this so-called gaffe by Biden was a gaffe at all. Biden meant it exactly as it sounds, pandering to blacks and trying to sound black as a means of showing them he’s one of them and on their side.

The dirty little secret is Hilary is a terrible candidate. Her voice makes cats run for cover. If her name wasn't Clinton she would be working in a Post Office in Sheboygan.

The left continues to pound away on the Romney tax return issue and their frustration that it isn't taking hold is obvious. Good on Mitt for basically telling them to stick it. Reid and the rats gave it their best shot but it didn't stick and its zzzzz factor is increasing.
Will the rats concede defeat on that issue and move on? Doubtful.

Rove map shows Obama only 13 EVs away. However, it does not reflect the Ryan pick.
Rove says polls this next week will probably show some movement toward the RR ticket.
Wallace says maybe as few as 3% will decide in many of the swing states.

Does the American worker really still believe they need a union to look after them? When you have the internet and job mobility the last thing you need is to pay a union so the evil rich person won’t exploit you. How 19th century.
