Sen. John Kerry, the 2004 Democratic presidential candidate on Friday charged that critics are trying to "swiftboat" President Obama with false and "ridiculous" claims and that Mitt Romney is a foreign policy rookie who embarrassed himself during a recent trip to London.
In a letter to Obama's supporters, he railed on the charges Obama has been hit with, including those from the so-called "birthers."
The attacks, he said, "remind me all too well of the notorious 'Swift Boat' attacks I faced in the 2004 campaign." He was referencing devastating charges from fellow Vietnam War veterans questioning his service.
In the note, he also slapped Romney for being a foreign policy novice and potential presidential disaster. "Republicans have a candidate with absolutely no foreign policy experience, who thinks Russia is our 'number one geo-political foe' and who is advised by people who think -- and have repeatedly said -- the Soviet Union and Czechoslovakia are countries that still exist. Romney's two major foreign policy speeches never even mentioned Al Qaeda once, and he's prone to stumbles when he steps onto the foreign policy stage. He can't even manage to visit London without causing an international incident!"

Kerry’s going to be bitter about having the truth told about him until the day he dies.

It sounds like Hanoi Johnny thinks Barry Soetoro went to Vietnam for 3 months and got three Purple Hearts too! I hadn’t heard that. What a coincidence that Barry served on the Swiftboats in the Navy too. Something else I never heard about. There’s a lot about Barry we don’t know I guess.
The ultimate illustration of ‘chickens coming home....to roost’. He dishonored our nation and fellow military members during and after the Vietnam War in the name of personal advancement on the left, and it came back and bit him in the ass when it mattered most. Many feel those ads are what saved Bush’s reelection....I definitely think it had a big impact.
Isn’t the definition of “Swift Boating” to be telling the truth? The Dims seem to think it is about telling non truths.

If by “swiftboated” Kerry means confronted with undeniable facts and multiple unassailable witnesses who counter his fantasy-laden version history and appalling record of service, then, yes, Obama is being “swiftboated”.
To “swiftboat” someone is to expose the truth about them after they’ve sold a lie to people for decades.

Glad to hear it! I always equate “swiftboating” with truth, justice and the American way!
Kerry(all ‘rats for that matter)lives in a world truly turned upside down. Like Algore said, “what’s up is down and what’s down is up.” That pretty well sums up the ‘rat perspective.

And who is he, really?
A close associate hints: There's a secret compartment in Kerry's briefcase. He carries the black attaché everywhere. Asked about it on several occasions, Kerry brushed it aside. Finally, trapped in an interview, he exhaled and clicked open his case.
“Who told you?” he demanded as he reached inside. “My friends don't know about this.”
The hat was a little mildewy. The green camouflage was fading, the seams fraying.
“My good luck hat,” Kerry said, happy to see it. “Given to me by a CIA guy as we went in for a special mission in Cambodia.”
Kerry put on the hat, pulling the brim over his forehead. His blue button-down shirt and tie clashed with the camouflage. He pointed his finger and raised his thumb, creating an imaginary gun. He looked silly, yet suddenly his campaign message was clear: Citizen-soldier. Linking patriotism to public service. It wasn't complex after all; it was Kerry.
He smiled and aimed his finger: “Pow.”

To this day he has not done that. He has released partial records that passed through his hands first.
If he released his entire record we would learn that he received a dishonorable discharge from the Navy for participating in anti-war protests while on active duty and for meeting with the North Vietnamese in Paris to “negotiate” peace on his own (which is an act of treason), and that Jimmy Carter granted him a pardon for his crimes.
He has continued to prove that he doesn't respect this country and its heroes by the simple fact that he backs the POS in office now.
Bravo to all of the military vets who are speaking out!
Kerry has hopes of being named to replace Cankles in Bammy’s second term.
