Minnesota state Democrat Representative Kerry Gauthier is being investigated by police for reportedly having sex with a 17 year-old at a rest stop. Northland News Center reported:
Minnesota district 7B Representative Kerry Gauthier is at the center of a criminal investigation by Duluth police. This is a particularly sensitive situation right now as incumbent lawmaker Gauthier will face Republican challenger Travis Silvers in November.
Police will only confirm that Representative Gauthier involved in an incident the Thompson Hill rest stop last month.
State Patrol will confirm that one witness approached a trooper around 11 at night on July 22nd to report an incident.
The State Patrol turned the investigation over to the Duluth Police Department. Police spokespeople say they are conducting a criminal investigation but they refuse to say why Gauthier was arrested.
However well placed sources today told the Northland’s NewsCenter, the incident involved a 17 year old boy with whom Gauthier was reportedly engaged in a sexual act.
I bet he had an “accident”.

So just what was happening at the Thompson Hill rest area in the hour or so before midnight on July 22?
Duluthians awoke to the troubling news yesterday morning that state Rep. Kerry Gauthier, DFL-Duluth, was under investigation and that information related to the probe was classified as “criminal investigative data.” City and state law enforcement officials confirmed that but only that. They refused to divulge any details.
Gauthier refused to talk about it, too. He told the News Tribune’s Brandon Stahl, “It’s a private matter, and I don’t need to talk about it.”
But he does.
Gauthier represents parts of central and all of western Duluth in the Minnesota Legislature. His 36,000 or so House District 7B constituents are entitled to an explanation and information. They deserve to know what was happening, how their elected representative was involved and why law enforcement may be treating it as a criminal incident.
If Gauthier was an everyday private citizen perhaps a police investigation could be treated as a private matter. But he’s not. He’s a public servant, picked by the people with whom he lives to represent them in St. Paul. He carries the responsibility of the public trust. His constituents pay his salary and have every right to know whether they ought to continue to do so.
If Gauthier won’t talk, at least not immediately, it seems clear law enforcement could be far more forthcoming.
As Stahl reports, the Minnesota State Patrol and Duluth police at first flat-out denied a request by the News Tribune for public information pertaining to the “suspicious activity” at the rest stop. They refused even though Minnesota law clearly requires certain information on calls made to the police for service be made public. That includes the date and time of a call, the agencies involved, the nature of the request for police, and witnesses to the incident. The Minnesota Government Data Practices Act also states that agencies should release “a brief factual reconstruction of events associated with” a police call.
After the News Tribune informed the agencies what records should be public under state law, some information was released. But only details on the time, date and place of the call were released. All the newspaper — and the public, by extension — was told with regard to the reason for the police response was “suspicious activity.” That’s hardly “a brief factual reconstruction.” The State Patrol and the city of Duluth then passed the buck to the other with regard to who should release such a reconstruction.
Something “suspicious” was happening at the Thompson Hill rest area late on the night of July 22, involving, somehow, an elected public official and a leader in our community. The public needs to know about it — and in a timely manner. Nearly a month already has passed without Gauthier or the authorities coming clean. That has to change.

In other news, the Democrat Party has announced that homosexual encounters in public restrooms with teenagers is now part of their platform.
Next Democrat platform addition: same sex marriage with teenagers in public restrooms.

17 years old is not the same as 11 years old but is still illegal. It’s not good thata 17 year old is looking for hookups at a rest stop. Something is wrong somewhere. This is a sad story for all concerned.
No problem for a Dem. This just proves he’s sensitive to gay and NAMBLA issues. Christ-hating Dem’s will just see this as a sign of ‘tolerance’ (which means conformity to their new world order).
For me the big story is that they mentioned he was a Democrat in the first sentence. That happens so rarely it stands out when they do it.

Maybe the 17 yr. old wasn't the one running the ad on Craigs List. Maybe it was Gauthier, and there was an incentive.
One is an adult who should know better. The other, a young boy who hasn't had a chance to experience the world outside of the government school system yet.

Those in the know are aware that sex at a rest stop is the ultimate turn on. Just imagine it with an underage boy.
Obviously, the ruling class have the power to get anything they want, but us common citizens sure do hope Obama will use some stimulus money or the Affordable Care Act or an Executive Order or something to insure that this sort of right is available to us all.
Hiring underage boys as sex workers might improve the unemployment figures as well, and when not turning tricks they can apply for unemployment and food stamps for drugs - a true “win-win” for the country.
