Piers Morgan on Monday picked the wrong guy to toss Democrat talking points at.
After the CNN anchor spoke the typical liberal nonsense about Paul Ryan's budget only benefiting rich people, former House Speaker Newt Gingrich scolded, "I do wonder sometimes if you guys all get off in a little club and learn a brand new mantra and then all repeat it mindlessly...You guys almost sound like you're an extension of the Obama campaign" (video follows with transcript and commentary):

NEWT GINGRICH: You know, I don't want to sound disrespectful, but I do wonder sometimes if you guys all get off in a little club and learn a brand new mantra and then all repeat it mindlessly. The fact is, these kinds of things were said about Ronald Reagan. Ronald Reagan's tax cut - which was developed by Jack Kemp who Paul Ryan worked for - Ronald Reagans tax cut raised more people to middle class status, took more people out of poverty, created more jobs.

I think this is a fundamentally different model, and I know everybody in the media wants to rush down and narrow it down to one point. So Im going to rush down and narrow it down to one point: how long are we going to tolerate a president who makes the poorest Americans more unemployed, who pushes more poor Americans on to food stamps, and who eliminates hope for minorities? And that's the Barack Obama record after four years.

I’ve said it before-
These are the times when old lions like Newt, John Sunnunu and even the McConnells rise to the occasion.
Churchill is the archetype of the old lion called back into service, who has enough left in him to inspire the next generation and fertilize victory.
Kansas was a front 150 years ago and we are today as well, FRiend!
They Haven’t figured it out. Don’t bandy wits with THE NEWT. Your wits will be handed back to you in a brown paper bag...
Liberals are insane; doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result.
Liberal/progressive/ Marxist policies, once again, have FAILED MISERABLY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Beautiful — I pray we see MORE of Newt on CNN, and EVERYWHERE this political season!
Newt also, SERIOUSLY needs his own show ....
THEY ARE....
The panel I watched on Sunday was ALL DEMOCRAT PUNDITS, including two CURRENT advisers to the Obama campaign (PIAD shills, Donna Brazille was one)
And yet, CNN can’t figure out where the audience went??
I like it!
That was a great comeback by Newt, it’s just sad that not enough people saw it due to it being on the Piers Morgan show.
Sighs to what could have been...
Amen Newt! Did you notice how Morgan just sat there with that annoying smirk on his face? Piers Morgan is another in a long line of Socialist Limey pratts*(*Brit slang for a ‘’jerk’’), “comedian’’ Russel Brand is another one, who get the hell out of the socialist crap-hole Britain has become and high-tail straight to the good old US of A where they know damn well they can do financially a thousand times better than they did in ‘’Jolly Old England’’ and all they do when they get here is start mouthing off about how America should adopt the kind of socialist government they ran away from. They make me sick. At least Posh Spice(Victoria Beckham) has the decency to appreciate her new home, going so far as to name her son “Brooklyn’’. Good on ya Posh!!
I follow Newt Gingrich on Twitter and every time he is going to be on a show, he puts out a tweet to advise everyone. He is doing interviews left and right. Especially on CNN. I love how he slaps down the liberals with such ease.
Newt has been in the fist-fight, and very effectively I might add, for a very long time.
History will be kind to Newt.
Just the thought of a pierced morgan makes me cringe. Too
close to a severed johnson not to.
You are correct, but they will hear it ad nauseum tomorrow on radio and see it on the the world’s blogosphere!
Newt goes Guerilla-politics!
ditto, he would have slaughtered O-BLAME-O, I wanted him to win too!
no matter how hard he tries or is coached...Romeny cannot do what Newt does in confrontation
No one can; there is only one Newt.
Sigh.
We could have had this brilliant man as our nominee, but instead we went with Myth’s Joseph Smith’s Amazing Technicolor Magic Underwear Show.
I almost wish Newt wouldn’t do these interviews....I get bitter over that fact every time he speaks.
Hank
ALMOST????
I miss Newt—There has got to be a place for him in the Romney -Ryan administration.
