The odds of having your car stolen are higher in these 10 metropolitan areas. But you can take steps to protect your ride, and they might even earn an insurance discount.
The bad news for California drivers? Your state had the greatest number of hot spots in the country for auto thefts in 2011, according to a National Insurance Crime Bureau report released recently.

>>LOL!
Los Angeles, CA is 48.4% less dangerous to live in than Dallas, TX.<<
With the TX much easier CCR, it is mow 100% more deadly for someone to rob me. It brings my attack % to nearly zero.
L.A. was great but when you spend all your money on illegals and the lazy, eventually the money goes away from protection.
And I am in Irving, which has one of the lowest crime rates in the country.
If I get a chance to put a bullet in the head of a burglar, I can make the trend even downward (in a good way).
You can walk from Irving to downtown Dallas in a short time.
Didn't mean to ring your bell but when ya say, "After 50+ years in So Cal, Texas now has my allegiance stew in your liberal juices", but your crime in the big cities in Texas, when compared to big cities in CA, are through the roof.
And if crime relates to liberalism as you suggested, I would say it's you who are in the liberal paradise.
I'm not selling anything, ya see these are not my statics, they're FBI stats. This isn't about me.
BTW, the article is regarding crime, not milk or jobs.
er statistics too...
BTW, I never suggested it was perfect, there or here, I only posted the FBI stats for crime comparing TX and PA big city crime stats to LA.
Sorry these stats are not what ya wanted to see.
Los Angeles, CA is 48.4% less dangerous to live in than Dallas, TX.
And yet Plano, Texas (part of the Dallas - Fort Worth metroplex) is #1 on that website's "Top 100 Cities" list - and you'd have to average Dallas with not only Plano but also Carrollton, Frisco, Addison, Farmer's Branch, etc., to geographically match L.A. Just curious - do you know where areavibe.com gets the data for its comparisons? I don't see any details listed in the "About" section.
Just like this one below. BTW, these are not MY stats...lol.

I believe most California home and probably auto insurance rates are much lower than other places, mainly because we, for the most part don’t have wild winter weather.
Also, we don’t have the tax man come to our house, like they do in Pennsylvania, when our loved one dies. I couldn’t believe it when I visited Pennsylvania about a week after my husband’s uncle died, and they were waiting for the tax man to come and go through their entire house toting up the value of their belongings. That was really strange, and just WRONG.
There’s a lot about California that is better than other states, even though the place is now being run by the looney left. It wasn’t that long ago that we elected Ronald Reagan as governor.
But y’all enjoy the wonderful Texas heat, I’ll stick with my cool ocean breezes, thank you very much.
Signed, born in Houston and glad to be out of that hell hole.
Car thiefs need hanging.IMNSHO.
California, where I grew up - sad, more sad every time I go back.
As Dan Jenkins would characterize the perps in “Semi Tough”...
Meskins.
Still in California, but headin’ for Tejas furs’ chance ah git.

25 miles, more if you figure on the spurs but I assume Harry Hines. At 15 minutes per mile (a hustle, baby), you can get to the Arts District in 6 - 7 hours.

No bell ringing — you are just wrong. L.A. and Irving are apx. the same. But I don’t pay Income Tax (productivity penalty).

By now, Los Angelenos just steal from each other. It is a property swap. Net Zero.
Thanks
Except for SF, the other 6 cities are all in farm country.
No, I'm right, and the above statistics on this thread clearly back it up.
You're the one that threw in Irving, not I. BTW, Irving is only about 15 miles from downtown Dallas, and just a couple minutes by car and literally borders west Dallas.
