Obviously a M249, M240B, or maybe even a M2.
Over an hour since the OP, and so far no one has uttered the words “White”, “Middle Aged”, “Tattoo”, “Extremist”, or “Tea Party”....
Hmmmmmm.......
bump
If Eskimos were doing all of these shootings (Tucson, Theater, Temple, A&M), wouldn’t someone be asking “What are the Eskimos so enraged about?” Are white males ‘breaking’ due to their persecution in the new America where the protected classes rule? Why isn’t anyone asking this question? They surely would be if Eskimos were breaking bad.
Don’t worry. A&M is as safe as under your own roof, if not safer. Gig ‘em, Aggies!
This happened a few blocks off campus (200 block of Fidelity) at some wacko’s lower income home. One officer has been killed and another wounded. The guy will get the death penalty because you don’t mess with Texas. http://www.kxan.com/dpp/news/texas/several-injured-in-am-shooting
***I guess its just a weird San Antonio problem then.***
Probably has something to do with a bunch of radicalized men taking over the town, holing up in an old church and fighting off all comers till killed.
A shooter opened up on figures from inside his home. If only home ownership of guns was prohibited... < /sarc >
The possibility exists that this is not a student, not even someone who was targeting students, but the meme is out there that this was a random assault shooting on a college campus.
Perhaps it is a drug dealer or delinquent renter/mortgage payer who was being evicted and didn’t want to give up his squat.
***It sounds like the shooter is already dead***
In custody, probably died by falling UP a flight of stairs.
Occupy San Antonio?
I was on the student advisory committee at UT Houston, and then on the UT System student advisory council and let me tell you, guns on campus was the hottest topic we faced. No one wanted to debate it, I vehemently opposed a resolution condemning it, and the council failed to pass it. I guess my one small victory.
If true, the MSM will clam up about this one quickly and no "flags at half-staff" order will be forthcoming. Just a little "Chicago style" violence, nothing to see here...
You are allowed to have a firearm in your vehicle, though, without any license. Most of us treat it like any other state though, if a cop sees a gun in your car he’s going to treat you like a coiled rattlesnake.
I have lived here a bunch of years and have run with a boatload of really well armed gun enthusiasts. I have yet to have ever met anyone owning or possessing an AUTOMATIC weapon, aside from maybe some high flauten Gun Shop owner in Houston.
If this dude lives, he’s got a very long row of hot and humid sugarcane “cultivating” waiting for him, not to mention the Trustees that love to get up close and person with a cop shooter.
Update at 3:48 p.m. ET: Police say the gunman was shot
before being taken into custody.
CNN reports the gunman is the dead civilian, but police
have not confirmed that.
Earlier reports indicated the shooting may have resulted
during an eviction at a house in the historical district.
Maybe he was bump firing with his belt loop.
There’s a ton of them up in Dallas. The number 1 zip code in the entire US for per capita legal class III ownership belongs to Highland Park/University Park, a in-urb of Dallas. There are also Dallas ranges that will rent full auto for use in the facility (supervised, of course).

Odd. Haven’t heard many VA cops getting all that rattled. Then again, your permit is in their database, so if you have a permit they know it before they even walk up.
I heard a funny story recently where a VA cop handed over his loaded weapon to someone they stopped (to admire) while his partner ran a check on his weapon.
Well, this is VA afterall.
