Seems I have to re-post this from time-to-time as a reminder:

As a conservative site, Free Republic is pro-God, pro-life, pro-family, pro-Constitution, pro-Bill of Rights, pro-gun, pro-limited government, pro-private property rights, pro-limited taxes, pro-capitalism, pro-national defense, pro-freedom, and-pro America. We oppose all forms of liberalism, socialism, fascism, pacifism, totalitarianism, anarchism, government enforced atheism, abortionism, feminism, homosexualism, racism, wacko environmentalism, judicial activism, etc. We also oppose the United Nations or any other world government body that may attempt to impose its will or rule over our sovereign nation and sovereign people. We believe in defending our BORDERS, our constitution, our liberty and our national sovereignty.

Free Republic is private property. It is not a government project, nor is it funded by government or taxpayer money. We are not a publicly owned entity nor are we an IRS tax-free non-profit organization. We pay all applicable taxes on our income, thank you very much. We are not connected to or funded by any political party, news agency, or any other entity and we are beholden to none. We sell no merchandise, product or service, and we offer no subscriptions or paid memberships. We accept no paid advertising or promotions. We are funded solely by donations (non tax deductible gifts) from our loyal readers and participants who enjoy our forum and think its a worthwhile endeavor.

We aggressively enjoy and defend our God-given and first amendment guaranteed rights to free speech, free press, free religion, and FREEDOM of ASSOCIATION, as well as our constitutional right to control the use and content of our own personal private property. Despite the wailing of the liberal/progressive trolls, RINOS and other doom & gloom naysayers, we feel no compelling need to allow them a platform to promote their repugnant and obnoxious propaganda from our forum. Free Republic is NOT a liberal debating society. We are conservative activists dedicated to defending our GOD-GIVEN rights, defending our constitution, defending our republic and defending our traditional American way of Life.

Our God-given freedoms are not negotiable and not subject to debate!!

Thank you for having this forum. You cannot go to Yahoo or most of the news links posted at Drudge and have an opinion posted w/o the drive by bashers doing the planned hate tactics they do for their agenda. This forum gives us a firewall from the socialists and the haters.

Thank you for a well reasoned argument. You have many valid points. Earlier in the post you responed to I stated I have never and can easily predict I never will tell any citizen how and for whom their vote should be cast. Nor will I inquire after the election for whom they casted their vote. It is none of my business.

To be totally honest, I am not sure how or if I will vote fot the top of the ticket. I am not, nor have I been a Republican since 1998. Now that doesn't mean I haven't voted for Republican candidates. I loath John McCain and still can't get the stink off me from voting for him 4 years ago.

I think most here would agree that sending Obama packing and saving our country is our goal.

Well, the very next chance this country gets is this November.

If that is not successful, it will be 2016, if nothing changes in the system between now and then.

Unless, by some miracle, we get 67 senators in the senate to agree on conviction after house impeaches him, which is not going to happen in my life time.

Maybe some want him gone sooner, and others are waiting until 2016, when we have better choices.

Personally, I would not bet the farm, indeed the whole country as we know it, on 2016 suddenly showing us clear choices, with a acceptable conservative on the one side against what the dems will offer.

It was NO way to treat an elderly man who just was upset.

If all entitlements are to be abolished, then stop the government from taxing for them.

And then you have another entitlement to deal with it is called Military health care for those who did their 20+ years for sub par pay and were promised and granted it. TRICARE For LIFE. Are our under paid, over worked Military to be punished too?

If we were not GIVING FREE health care to ILLEGAL INVADERS, and allowing congress to dip into and not replace these funds they would not be in the shape they are currently in. Congress created this mess.

Perhaps only now are we seeing Paul Ryan's "true colors," which he has managed to conceal from us up to now. (Tongue-in-cheek there.)

Then again, here's another puzzlement: If Mitt Romney is "pro-abortion," then why did Planned Parenthood recently make a $1.2 media buy to air a political ad that lambasts Romney as a "pro-lifer" who would take away a woman's "right to choose?"

The scariest part of all this is the demographic trends, which favor Democrat interest-group politics. I'm not sure what the solution to that is long-term, other than getting a transformational candidate like Reagan who can really swing votes.

Just discovered a terrible item in ObamaCare.

When a person reaches the age of 76 (I’ll get there in another year), they will NO LONGER BE ELIGIBLE FOR CANCER TREATMENT.

That is the plan. The socialist government whether under Obama or Obama-lite Romney, plans to save medicare and social security and the nanny state "safety net" by killing off the older generation. That's the purpose of the death panels that you will find in any government health care plan. The only way to stop this nonsense is to go back to the constitution. Rip out all of this unconstitutional socialist nonsense and let the free market reign. Without government mandates and price controls, the price of healthcare and healthcare insurance will fall.

Obviously, the Marxist won't do that. But neither will Romney or the statist GOP-e. It's now all about saving medicare and social security and the minimum wage and nanny state safety net, etc. The GOP-e under Rove, Romney & Co. is now the savior of the New Deal and the Great Society.
