Dear MoveOn member,
Breaking news: Mitt Romney just picked tea party hero Paul Ryan as his running mate. And Romney may have just committed political suicide.
Paul Ryan is the author of the most extreme right-wing budget ever proposed in Congress. He wants to dismantle Medicare, privatize Social Security, and cut taxes for millionaires while raising taxes on the middle class.1
Simply put, the policies Paul Ryan stands for are politically toxic.
But here's the thing: Paul Ryan isn't just a extremisthe's young, smart, and charming. The media constantly describe him as looking like "the boy next door." He's the ultimate wolf in sheep's clothing.
The next ten days are crucial to make sure the American people understand the truth about Paul Ryan. We're launching an emergency "Paul Ryan is Wrong For America" campaign, but we need to raise $200,000 this weekend to make it happen.
Yup, this is just a fundraising appeal to the True Believers (tm)
They do not know what hit them, the liberals. :)
The left will talk about what ever they want to and the press will let them. Ryan maybe appear to be running as a co-president, but I assure you, he would simply be VP with the same power as Biden, if Romney wins. VP's have as much control over policy as I do.
We have a very weak candidate at the top of the ticket. In fact I think we have been to this dance before.
Palin was a horror though. She was not prepared at the time and McCain’s camp didn’t even like her. Oh yea, lets not forget her knocked up teen daughter.
You are correct. These loonies on the left really get me. They want us to boycott Chick-fil-A because of their stance on traditional marriage. Odd they didn’t boycott Obama when he was for traditional marriage before he was for gay marriage. They get their panties in a wad about water boarding and yawn at partial birth abortion. They get upset about free birth control, all the while ignoring the fact that Medicare now borrrows two dollars for every three spent. They’re out of their minds. Ryan a great choice. But no matter, Obama will still pimp third rate, third world ideas to his moronic sycophants. The guy is nothing but a demagogue and cares nothing about solving our fiscal problems.
This was probably Ryan in college:
This was Obama in college:
Ryan isn’t Palin and I suspect he knows how to handle dingdong dimwit media hacks.
It is a good thing when your enemy is fearful.

“...and McCains camp didnt even like her.”
Uh, who exactly were the members of McCain’s camp that didn’t like her. I clearly remember where those “members” came from...do you?
I am not going to go into it here and now; but, I suggest that we not start rewriting history on those days. Palin saved McCain from a lot of embarrassment and a huge loss in the general election. Many Conservatives donated to McCain’s campaign in her name.
She was lied about, attacked, denigrated by the leftist loons and, yes, some key players in McCain’s own campaign were part of it. They obviously had an agenda...think about what REALLY happened.
The left, aided by the MSM, is already shouting the lies about the Ryan budget.
Can’t wait for Obama to have to relive this moment:

You will find that Romney has Ryan working the budget from the White House, likely with a Ryan picked OMG Director.
Ryan will be the most involved VP ever, directly impacting budget policy.
You Wish, Snarky Tart indeed.
Hope springs eternal I guess. I am 73 now and I really doubt that if I have any kind of medical event, requiring anything beyond an antibiotic, that I will receive treatment for it, after the first of the year, no matter who wins.
I'm not even a big fan of Sarah's, but your comments are disgusting.
I guess you think her daughter should have aborted her baby. I admire her daughter, she made a mistake, but she did not destroy her baby to cover up her mistake.
I'm sure that many parents have pushed their daughters to abort rather than reflect on their parenting skills.
I'll take Sarah and her family any day over McCain and his family.
