A pleasant surprise. For once Bob Beckel actually making sense.
I went over there thinking I would be coming back and giving you somewhat of a hard time.
You were right. I was wrong.
Beckel hit this one on the nose. The way he addressed it, I wouldn’t have changed a thing.
I loathe his politics, but, I’ve always liked Bob Beckel. When he’s wrong, or makes a mistake, he admits it and apologizes. More than I can say for most people involved in Politics.
There need to be thousands more that say the same as Bob Beckel that have a microphone.

I am probably one of the few on this site that like The Five.
Beckel is pretty out there, but serves his purpose.
And gets slapped down more times than naught. Pretty fun show, imho.
He was on the mark in this instance.
Beckel is an evangelical Christian. He became one not long ago because a (very) conservative commentator colleague of his reached out to him in a time of crises—and brought him to a very good church.
I know, I was a member of that church when I lived in DC. I’ve heard Bob Beckel’s Christian testimony—and its real.
My earliest memories of Beckel were in the midst of the chaos campaign in defense of Bill Clinton. I had no respect whatsoever for him at the time. Since then, I have not been able to change my opinion.
If someone came along and only saw him in the mid 2000s and beyond, I can see how they might find him to be disagreeable but likeable.
I can’t.
I also find Beckel likable a little bit, but 99 and 44/100 percent of what comes out of his mouth is not worth hearing. The rule of the stopped clock applies.
Words mean nothing; action is what counts. Mohammedism must be openly declared a cult of hate; not a religion. It must be outlawed and its adherents driven out. The First Amendment does not apply here; anymore than yelling “Fire” in a movie theater.
Beckels job is to say opposite of what the others say...
no matter what he actually thinks..
Its a “show” a performance.. what he is paid to do...
Same with Juan Willians.. and some others..
Its a show for the republican rubes..
Better they just have conservatives discussing issues..
At least thats more honest.. the five is even worse..

Beckel is playing a difficult role on the five. Whether or not he’s genuine I don’t know. He is very good at being the annoying dissenter.
