The move also now links Romney directly with House Republicans, including no-compromise tea partyers who have pressed for deep spending cuts. Obama has been casting House Republicans as an impediment to progress in the often-gridlocked Washington.
Lets see, the objective reporters at the AP call the House Republicans no compromise people - and in the next breath they say that "Obama has been casting House Republicans as an impediment to progress in the often-gridlocked Washington.
Explain the difference between an objective reporter and a progressive to me again. I dont get it.
In other news, "conservatives (true liberals like you and me) dont agree with liberals (socialists like Obama) on much of anything.

Ah-HA!
Assuming this is true, we now have a solid conservative on the ticket...and...
a solid debater who will shred Hillary Rodham (you don't think that Obama kept Biden, do you?) in the debates.
.
ROMNEY/RYAN.
I just love it.

Smart move by Mittens. Announcing in Hampton Roads and not picking McDonnell. Good move for Virginia ans Wisconsin is a strong possibility.

I like Ryan’s stances, but this is a poor strategic choice for the general election. Too easily demonized for the doofuses each side needs to win.

I wanted Newt, that said, Romney is far from stupid.
If Romney picks Ryan it means his team considers Florida in the bag and wants to go after Wisconsin.
Otherwise it would be Rubio for vp....

Au contraire! The Dims already tried demonizing Ryan and the House Republicans in 2010. How’d that work out :)? The Republicans won in landslides all across the country!

It depends on whether Romney wins or not. If Romney wins and it successful in the first term, Ryan's in a good position.
If Romney loses, Ryan probably isn't hurt and in Wisconsin can continue to run for his House seat even seeking the VP. (Source)
If Romney wins and it ends like the Bush years, Ryan's toast.
