UPDATE:: NBC News has three sources telling the network that Rep. Paul Ryan, (R) Wisconsin, is Mitt Romney's choice for Vice President.
Also the National Review reports the following: Earlier today, a charter plane took off in Boston, stopped in Chicago, then flew to the tiny airport in Janesville, Wis. Janesville, of course, is the hometown of Representative Paul Ryan, a top vice-presidential contender.

Obama’s budget received 0 votes while I believe Ryan’s received 228.
Yes, and I can picture him doing very well in a debate with Joe Biden.
Which has absolutely nothing to do with how the Dims will demagogue Ryan's proposals during the campaign.
It’s so important that the case be made for capitalism in this election. People are being tempted with free cash which requires an enormously strong intellectual argument to be made on the other side. Ryan has been able to articulate the case for less government spending and for free markets about as well as any prominent Republican I’ve seen. Occasionally he gets a little too wonkish, but it’s much easier to coach an informed person to dumb down what they say than it is to coach an ignorant person to sound smarter. Heck of all the Republicans that endorsed Romney, Ryan even made the best case there, not overstating the case or speaking in mere platitudes, but expressing in clear terms some simple, good aspects of Romney that were hard to argue with.
While I think we’re still likely to lose because of the incredibly talentless phony we have on the top of the ticket, Ryan would be one of the best V.P. choices for any Republican presidential candidate.
[ Lets face it - Obama is one helluva campaigner and speachifier..:-( ]
Yeah, the “you didn’t build that, somebody else made that happen” tirade was brilliant.
The early line of attack seems to be that Ryan is an “Ayn Rand Devotee.”
As an Ayn Rand Devotee myself, I don’t find it a very compelling attack. Sadly, it appears not to be true.
Hank
According to you.
Were you in Vietnam? Hopefully not.
Their economic policies are now to the right of ours here in the United States under Obama which to me is a slap in the face for all of those I consider heroes who went there to save that nation from becoming what we now are becoming.
We won the war - that's what I was told by the friends I was with in Saigon. We won that war because their government is realizing that their system does not work.
While they are giving industry back to the private sector our own government is taking over banks, automobile industries... etc.
It's a shame. THIS is the primary reason I cannot vote for Obama.
No he is not, he’s an IDIOT. he can read a teleprompter with only an occasional problem. Soetoro is an idiot and you will never get me to say anything good about him because there isn’t a single thing. He’s just a puppet.
Your purity is duly noted
Thanks! I cannot remember... is that what Dick Morris mentioned in the video?
He mentioned something about Paul Ryan and something about vouchers and Medicade but said that Paul Ryan had since changed his mind on the idea.
Morris said that could be a target of the democrats but he didn’t seem all that concerned about it.
The President and Mr Soros thank you for your admirable devotion to advancing the cause of Progressivism.
Never voting for Liberal Romney.
I agree with your Mom. I like Ryan but I think he is a disastrous choice. I hope I’m wrong.
Seems to be a few folks on this thread painting him and the dems as the second coming of Christ as campaigners. I don’t see it out of any of them. Biden vs. Ryan in a debate? C’mon!
Yes, Allan West or Marco Rubio.
Well time will tell. I think it was a horrible choice for his VP. I’m not going to debate for weeks. I still say bad choice and I hope I’m wring. I just think Ryan has too much baggage.
"Well, they better be ready to defend and sell Ryans budget proposals because Dims will be demagogueing them every day the sun rises until election day."
Oh, it's already started...."Medicare" was trending recently on Twitter, with the expected, "Ryan wants to kill Medicare", "Romney just lost Florida," etc., etc.
