The GOP nominated Mitt Happens despite everything we did to stop it.

Well, everything except run a stronger field or unite behind a notMitt candidate. Yeah, that was the party's fault. Not.

No wonder, Romney is a homophobic woman hating tax cheat who sends jobs overseas causing American workers’ wives to die of cancer. Oh, and he is Mormon RINO too.

Did I miss anything?

I am a pessimistic person, and unfortunately, I see Obama winning this election. Although, this margin is even shocking for me. I do believe things will tighten up if a good VP is picked, with the convention (Dems do have an advantage having their convention second), with good debates, and hopefully good ads. Whether things will tighten up and Romney will take the lead remains to be seen.

The GOP has once again suceeded, with the help of the media of course, in giving us another moderate. Romney was not my pick by any means. I voted for Santorum and wish we had him or another solid conservative, but I’ll vote for Romney to get Obama out of there.

Oh, come on. Have you forgotten Bob Dole already?

It remains to be seen if Romney is as dreadful a campaigner as Dole. However, at least, Bob Dole was a real Republican. He was one of Ronald Reagan's key allies in the Senate. Where was Mitt at that time? By his own admission, he was opposing the Reagan/Bush agenda.

Re: Why doesn’t Romney start talking about what he will do and stop talking about Obama and what a shlock he is

Like General Patton said “you don’t win battles by being on defense, you win battles by being on offense. The only time Romney was on offense was when he was debating fellow Repubs.

I don’t think your situation is unique, but I feel your pain. I’m in sort of the opposite position. My parents raised me conservative, and I’ve never lost touch with those values or changed, but they sure have. The deterioration started to happen sometime in the 90s after Clinton won. They didn’t vote for him, but then voted for his reelection in 96’(first time for a Democrat that I can remember). Voted for Gore in 2000. Miraculously, came back to the fold and voted for Bush in 2004, but then supported Obama in 2008.

Now, it’s like they’re Obama pod people. Nothing he does can be wrong. It’s pointless to even argue with them. For instance, after the Obama ‘evolution’, now they support gay marriage. The parents who raised me to believe in the literal truth of the Bible, now support gay marriage. Mom actually said recently that she thinks, “Gay is the new black.” I’ve told her she better not say that in ‘mixed’ company or she might, deservedly, get punched in the mouth...

No offense taken. I just don’t see Willard the same way you do. When I see Willard...I don’t see someone with genuine conservative values. I don’t see someone who has a strong set of core beliefs that he espouses in a clear and concise fashion. To me, Willard has been a walking disaster.

That said....doesn’t mean I’m voting for O. Just means Willard gives me the willies.

I have a question for you (or anybody that can answer it.

In the past I've been more or less unsupportive of Paul Ryan being chosen as VP because I value him so much where he is now in Congress.

My question is, if he is chosen and if a Romney/Ryan ticket wins. How easy would it be to replace his with another Conservative from his state. And who would be as good with the numbers that we could replace him in the House?

LOL

Doesn't matter which faction of the WASHINGTONIANS win.

This is a fight over who in DC gets to control the money extorted from the productive class by the IRS.

The Mafia are amateurs.

“I think Obama will be re-elected.
Because the GOP elite insisted on giving Mitten Happens his turn at bat.”

The only possible good that can come from a Romney loss is that he will forever be removed from again being considered a presidential candidate.

Would I be impertinent to ask the unthinkable?
What happens if Obama is re-elected?
...To the Republican party?
...To the Tea Party?

The establishment Republicans seem hell-bent on transforming themselves into a “permanent minority” party. We’ve been proffered candidates like Bob Dole, John McCain, and now Romney. Who will they offer up for slaughter in 2016?

You are forced to play “Russian Roulette” -—

But your captors have TWO guns from which to choose.

One is a revolver, fully loaded.

One is a revolver with only one bullet in the gun.

You must choose, or they will shoot you outright.

I am guessing that you would get shot be your captors for being a sniveling, foolish coward, unable to make a rational decision.

You said:Every single poll, except Ras (who had a HORRIBLE track record for 2008 and 2010 and is one of the lowest rated pollsters for accuracy) is saying Obama’s lead is growing and getting stronger.

Terrible here is 2008 looks pretty good, what am I missing?

The final Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Election 2008 shows Barack Obama with 52% of the vote while John McCain is six points back at 46%. One percent (1%) of voters say they’ll select a third-party option while 1% remain undecided.

Final election 53 46 Scott is one of the best at understanding voter turnout.

Reagan lost to Ford.

Remember that when the "I have no choice but to vote for Romney" crowd proposes that we'll challenge him in the primaries in 2016. If the strongest conservative candidate ever couldn't oust the appointed President who was probably the weakest Republican incumbent in modern history, why have any optimism that Romney, if he wins, can be beaten in the 2016 primary? Particularly, when Romney still has access to unlimited campaign monies from his own personal wealth, from LDS contributors to PACs, and from Wall Street.

Since YOU are for Mr. RomneyCARE, author of Death Panels,
who is a flaming misogynist and a backstabber of conservatives,
I am guessing the murderer would be you or another RomneyBOT.

From what I’ve seen, nobody talks about him. Four years ago they were crowing his name and now nobody ever brings him up. Go figure.

Also remember when the “We’d be better off with four more years of Mighty President Obama idiots” say... well, I guess they won’t be able to say anything after that Chicago ass clown has lame duck power to shut every single nay-sayer up. Nevermind.
