7:54 AM PT -- Sources tell TMZ ... Travis was BUCK NAKED when cops arrived to the crash scene. It's unclear why Travis was not wearing clothes.
We're also told the country singer refused to take a breathalyzer, so a blood draw was taken to determine his blood alcohol level.
6:24 AM PT -- Law enforcement sources tell us ... Travis was charged with "retaliation" because he verbally threatened a cop during the bust.
0314_divider_graphic Country singer Randy Travis was arrested last night in Texas on suspicion of DWI after crashing his car, TMZ has learned.
Law enforcement sources tell TMZ, Randy was arrested around 11:59PM with minor cuts and bruises. He was also booked on a "retaliation and obstruction" charge ... a felony.
Randy's car was the only vehicle involved in the crash.
Other details surrounding Randy's arrest are unclear. Randy is still in custody.
It's the singer's 2nd arrest this year -- back in February, Randy was busted for public intoxication for allegedly boozing in front of a Baptist church. According to the police report, Randy said he had just gotten into a fight with his girlfriend.
Alcohol is an equal opportunity non-biased offender. Sounds middle of the road but more like the end of the road instead.
Lots of open questions here, but the biggest is WTF WAS RANDY TRAVIS DOING DRIVING A 1998 TRANS AM?
Brrr! He grew up but his eyes didn’t. LOL!
Why would you get flamed?
That's such an old joke, Rascal Flatts made a song about it a few years ago called 'Backwards'. It's hilarious!

LOL!
It’s both and depends on context or who’s saying it
One of the many benefits of boozing, I don’t worry about DWI any more.
LOLOL..now that you said that..yeah, that’s what it looks like
He had these problems long before he was famous. Drink and drugs starting at age 12. Numerous DWIs, convictions for stealing cars and break-ins. In his case, it appears success and fame actually helped him clean up for a while. He was divorced back in 2010 from his mentor and long-time manager, who is much older than he is, and his career has largely stalled. Those kinds of things can lead a person back to old habits, unfortunately.
Another graduate of the George Jones School of Country Stars.
“Naked” means you’re wearing no clothes. “Nekkid” means you’re wearing no clothes and you’re up to no good.
"I'ma gonna eat all y'all's faces!"
My, how far he's fallen.
That was excellent!
Actually I’m going to pick up my guitar and try to write, “Why I’ll Never Be A Country Star.”
You’ll get co credit...or blame...
I always heard it thusly:
Naked = without clotthing
Nekked = without clothing and UP TO SOMETHING!
:)
You have a point!
It is BUCK naked - don’t bother asking why. Just another one of life’s little mysteries.
The finals of the National Poetry Contest last year came down to two finalists. One was a University of Alabama Law School graduate from an upper crust family; well-bred, well-connected, and all that goes with it. The other finalist was a redneck from Auburn University in Alabama.
The rules of the contest required each finalist to compose a four line poem in one minute or less, and the poem had to contain the word "Timbuktu."
The Duke graduate went first. About thirty seconds after the clock started he jumped up and recited the following poem:
"Slowly across the desert sand
Trekked the dusty caravan.
Men on camels, two by two
Destination-Timbuktu."
The audience went wild! How they wondered could the redneck top that?
The clock started again and the redneck sat in silent thought. Finally, in the last few seconds, he jumped up and recited:
"Tim and me, a-huntin' went.
Met three whores in a pop-up tent.
They was three, we was two,
So I bucked one and Timbuktu."
Here in Texas BUCK NAKED is roughly the equivalent of BUTT NAKED.
Knew a guy that claimed he used to drive for Waylon. Ol’ Waylon regularly cruised docks and such places, looking to score meth, while wearing a leopard thong. Just sayin’...and Randy...ya might wanna get a driver.
