7:54 AM PT -- Sources tell TMZ ... Travis was BUCK NAKED when cops arrived to the crash scene. It's unclear why Travis was not wearing clothes.
We're also told the country singer refused to take a breathalyzer, so a blood draw was taken to determine his blood alcohol level.
6:24 AM PT -- Law enforcement sources tell us ... Travis was charged with "retaliation" because he verbally threatened a cop during the bust.
0314_divider_graphic Country singer Randy Travis was arrested last night in Texas on suspicion of DWI after crashing his car, TMZ has learned.
Law enforcement sources tell TMZ, Randy was arrested around 11:59PM with minor cuts and bruises. He was also booked on a "retaliation and obstruction" charge ... a felony.
Randy's car was the only vehicle involved in the crash.
Other details surrounding Randy's arrest are unclear. Randy is still in custody.
It's the singer's 2nd arrest this year -- back in February, Randy was busted for public intoxication for allegedly boozing in front of a Baptist church. According to the police report, Randy said he had just gotten into a fight with his girlfriend.
I was thinking he shouldn't have threatened to kill a Texas State Trooper
This would make a great country song...for Brad Paisley.
I smell a new country song in this.
Please don’t flame me.
What do you get when you play a country song backwards?
You get your girl back, your dog back, your rig back, your trailer back and your job back.
Uh-oh. I see another political/racist issue on the horizon. Maybe not. I guess this means a black person can't be "buck naked." Imagine he can still be "butt naked" however.
Would this qualify as discrimination, possibly sending the whole issue to SCOTUS? Probably...
LOL. Good one.
I saw Travis on Opry Live a couple years back, and he was bad. At that time I wondered what was up with him. Now I know.
That’s Glen Cambell isn’t it?
Gives new meaning to "Concealed Carry"
Get some help, Randy, or we’ll be pickin’ up bones off the highway.............
You got that right!
Can't be. He doesn't have Tanya Tucker all over him. ;)
Should be enough material for a couple of country songs....
Maybe Randy will get his clothes back.........
—...he crashed his car into the construction zone. —
I remember in the early 80’s, when my buddies an me (all commercial real estate agents) thought nothing of going to the local Mexican restaurant and shooting back six or more Tequila shooters - and then driving home.
I was in my Saab 99 and just as I approached the Mt Baker tunnel on I-90 eastbound I noticed the barriers blocking one lane. I hit one with my side mirror and caused a little dent. Other than that everything was fine.
What a different world it was back then. Drinking that much and slipping behind the wheel of a car is beyond my comprehension.
And I have strict rules about drinking anyway. I only drink if I am with somebody or alone!
How could he threaten to shoot anyone if he was Naked, wouldnt that mean he didnt have a gun?
Unless he was talking about his other gun....
Ewwwwwwwwwww!

LOL!
Reminds me of a bit of “poetry” my brother learned about in the Army back in the day.
This is my Rifle
This is my Gun
One is for Shooting
One is for Fun.
Buck Naked was George Costanza’s porn star name.
This is a real shame. I knew he had troubles in his youth with substance abuse but then straightened himself out by turning to religion. Of course lots of stress (along with a mid-life crisis?) can make bad habits from the past seem suddenly appealing again.
I didn’t hear about the earlier arrest (don’t really follow country music much anymore) so this was a complete surprise. Hopefully he’ll turn himself around again.
It’s too bad, too. Alcohol takes so many talented people down a thorn riddled path. I truly hopes he gets help!
