Local rag has identified him as an immigration attorney.
If these bastards can't guarantee my safety, and won't let me take precautions to guarantee it myself, then screw it, I just won't take my family there.
It's just not worth it. Let 'em go out of business. I'll watch DVDs and Netflix at home.
Or go to concerts and events where I can carry, like comedian Tim Hawkins' shows.
"He did not comply with the officers' orders and remained in his seat while using his cell phone, police said."While I fully support his 2nd Amendment rights, I have little sympathy for people speaking on cell phones during a movie.
Given how it's written he could have been on the phone with his lawyer; if that was the case I'm not going to fault him.
What if the cop orders you to undress? what if the cop orders you to rape someone? Always is a pretty strong qualifier.
As to the charges, are they severe enough for the fellow to lose his permission to carry? Another reason to comply.
Permission? You do realize that by making 'permission' a prerequisite [to carrying arms] you are denying that it is a right.
bingo!
“Law abiding armed folk should always comply with police instruction.

Not to be snippy.....
And yet it is the qualifier used. Ideally, law abiding armed folk don’t really have anything to fear from law enforcement (ideally). Just like a cross section of regular folk, LEO come in the “all-kinds” type. Fortunately, the probability of running into the movie version of a bad one is lower than an encounter with a guy doing a job with a ton of protocols and procedures he has to follow (fundamentally, maintain control of the situation). The ‘what if’ scenarios are just that and kind of fanciful

Should have put permission in quotes, it was meant to be a facetious use of the word. The Second Amendment to the Constitution of the United States of America does not provide permission, it guarantees an intrinsic right. In some states certain classes of misdemeanor do not remove the ability to secure and maintain a concealed weapon/handgun permit.
Compliance is the way one makes his way through the patchwork quilt of unconstitutional gun laws in America.... until they are all repealed.
Check out HOPE from the tagline.
Cheers,
Stay alert,
True; however not entirely unheard of. I remember one case where a few cops were pulling over women and, basically, sexually harassing them. {And another guy got a cruiser-style car, the lights, and a uniform and raped women he pulled over. -- not a cop, but certainly taking advantage of the absurd amount of deference they receive.}

Yet the Chief Justice of The Supreme Court, Robert Jackson, says otherwise.
...and this officer agrees.

I know; though I really, really am against it. (And have tried with little success to challenge things.)

Ok, I'll check it out.
Stay alert,
Stay alive!
I wouldn’t necessarily predict that. The guy is question is president of the New haven Bar Association.
DeStefano created New Haven as a sanctuary city....had a heck of a time getting rid of the OWS invaders off the New Haven green. Fool.
Open carry in CT is still a muddy issue.
We're sick of the police getting away with *interpreting* the law. Charging Hwang with resisting arrest. PFFT!!!!
He’s suing alright... he’s an attorney himself and he’s retained of CT’s heavy hitters, Hugh Keefe.
