You’ve got that right. I am looking forward to a debate between Claire and Todd...he will chew her up and spit her out.

It’s been called for Akin (see TomGuy’s post #173)

I think anyone of the three:Akin,Brunner, and Steelman were seen as acceptably conservative and capable of beating MCCaskill.

I was rooting for Steelman because of Palin, but Akin is just fine. The main thing is winning that Senate seat in November, GO TODD AKIN!!! :)

FYI, Akin was probably the safest choice from an electability standpoint. Brunner has potentially wider appeal but first time candidates are prone to mistakes. Steelman has a knack of rubbing people the wrong way.

Don't waste your breath. The militant wing of the Tea Party (wannabe's, really) have shown up to show everyone how rude and ignorant they are.

They're so damn sure in their righteous indignation that the supposed Tea Party candidate was robbed of the GOP nomination - they don't even live here, they don't know Todd - basically they don't know sh!t except how to stir up trouble and insult good people.

The right person won tonight. And no matter who got the nod, they will have a hard fight on their hands with Obama's lapdog McCaskill. She's got a $6.0M+ warchest while the GOP challenger is working from a depleted cache after this bruising primary.

Tonight we celebrate - but tomorrow it's back out to hit the bricks and help Akin accelerate his fund raising.

I agree with you. I know McCaskill. She is not the sharpest knife in the drawer. She thinks she is, just like me. I always tell my son, I’m a legend in my own time!!! And.....he always replies....saying dad, the only legend you are, is a legend in your own mind.

This idiot woman, McCaskill teamed up a few years back with that buffoon, James Hoffa, Jr. trying to prevent aircraft maintenance work from going out of the country, long after Hoffa and his AFL/CIO buddies destroyed the aviation maintenance industry in this country to a large degree.

They created an international incident, because foreign governments told the USA if they prevented aviation repair work from going out of the country, they would pull the operating certificates of USA Airlines to fly in and out of their countries.

Fact is, this union scum killed the industry, just as they have done across the board. Of course, Obama caved and bowed to every foreign leader he ever met. I cannot stand this woman, she is both ugly inside and out......and dumb as can be. Todd Akin...or any of our candidates will dispatch of her in short order. she will go down with her leaders, anti-American, Barack Hussein Obama!!! Great GOP primary turnout tonight, congrats, Big MO!!! You buried the “dirt bag, hate America Democrat Party, just as Texas did a few weeks back!!!

Hey, you and I agree, that McCaskill must go away. Having said that, anyone that sends her packing is OK with me. Just get the Witch out of the BigMO. Anybody but 0pansy.

So Akin wins. Best choice IMO.

And some people on this thread are seriously bent out of shape......Brunner backers who think anyone who’s ever held office is a RINO?

Thanks...I didn’t read on down the thread, I’m happy with Akin also. He’s a pretty sure bet to beat McCaskill and that’s what it’s about.

Does MO use a primary winner gets the nomination, or do they require 50% plus one and there could be a runoff?

Well, Missouri picked the one candidate she can defeat.

Way to go.

She’ll be gone, it’s the 2nd or 3rd most likely seat to flip to R.

Well, you know....nevermind. I guess if you think he stands a good chance, I will trust you in MO.

I apologize for assuming she can beat him.

Good luck there.

Thanks for the support. I've always enjoyed reading your posts; your handle caught my eye early on because my aunt's name is Judy, and her nickname is "Gray Fox" - but I know you're not her, because she lives in Colorado now. :)

(I figured out early that you're from the BigMO, too!)

Interestingly enough, your post hits close to home - I started my career as an A&P mechanic. McCaskill's connections (and meddling) with the aviation industry has always rubbed me wrong.

Remember "Air-Claire" the tax cheat?

Whoops, my bust, I see you live in Texas.

Almost as good as MO! Still, appreciate the support.

This was an open primary right, so maybe the Dems helped Akin a little, that is why Steelman didn’t do better.
I hate open primaries.
