** Yep, was just viewing current results for 1st district:
L. Clay (i) 54.5% 10,596
R. Carnahan (i) 41.8% 8,129
C. Britton 3.7% 716
Well, Claire McCaskill has endorsed Akin.
........................
Say what? McCaskill wants to run against Akin?
She must think Akin is the weaker candidate.

Not a smart move on her part. We crave strong conservatives...the more conservative the better.
That would be nice. Alas, the Kansas City district hasn’t elected a GOP Congressman since 1946.
I was SO fist-pumping at the end of Claire’s ad. Fist pumping for Akin!
Claire saw some polls a few weeks ago showing that, although she was losing to all three, she would have a slightly better chance against Akin. But if Akin wins tonight, he’ll still beat her in November.

It took me a couple of times listening to realize it was an ad paid for by McCaskell.
After her arrogance at the town hall where she talked about using her “mom voice”, I’ve wanted her out more than anything.

Steeleman is in love with filling the roll of Tea Party maverick. She doesn’t seem to recognize that Republicans have been soundly conservative for sometime and respect for others is important.
I like her fairly well but she turned off my wife as ungenuine.
Any of the three would be more conservative then prior Republicans, Talent and Bond. Only time will tell if Blunt goes establishment. He talks the talk but is self promoting and may not walk the walk.
I think we will have trouble getting rid of Democrat Governor Nixon. He has worked conservatively with the Republican legislature and is hard working and dilegent. The Republicans running against him are lackluster.
God Bless both Sarah`s tonight!!! I hope the Palin haters here are not voting against Sarah?

I agree with you. The fool libs in STL and KC will lose this time.
McCaskill will never hold public office again.
The BigMO will, and really will, defeat the McWITCH of the midWEST.
McCaskill goes down this year.....no pun intended....She will lose by big numbers.
I take it you are not fond of Our Sarah
I wish Rush or Palin would jump in on that race. Seriously. Cleaver is not doing anything good for this district! I’m so sick of him! He’s been around since I was a little kid. I hate career politicians!
Looks like Turk is at 50% at the moment. He just doesn’t have the ability to get people excited about him on his own. A push would be nice.
Play on words. Claire would not endorse Akin for senate. She wanted voters to view him as a right wing extremist and it backfired. I would bet she is shaking in her shoes at the thought of running against Akin.
when in doubt, agree with the LCMS.
Thanks Jaz!

Dems trying to split the votes. She thinks she can beat Akin and would get creamed by Steelman.
