"This film is controversial, and that's exactly the reason we want to ensure it can find its audience prior to the November elections. -- Mark Cuban, co-studio head of Magnolia Pictures
Mark Cuban is a man who, in February of this year, attended a $30,000 a plate Obama fundraiser. Reportedly, as President Obama entered the event, he and Cuban "embraced warmly."
Magnolia Pictures is a specialty releasing company (its "edgier" label is Magnet), that is known mainly for its backing of left-wing films, which include, "Casino Jack and the United States of Money," "Enron: The Smartest Guy in the Room," "Food, Inc.," "God Bless America," "Jesus Camp," "No End in Sight," and "Redacted."
Cuban's quote, however, isn't about what you might think. He's not only talking about his eagerness to release on multiple platforms, and just before the upcoming election, a film that takes no prisoners in exposing the left; it's a film "presented by" none other than Andrew Breitbart (read the official statement below).

Catchy name for the production company.
I’m stunned.
I thought Marc Cuban was involved with Al Gore’s cable channel.
Go figure...
This is not the same lefty Mark Cuban who owns the Dallas Mavericks is it? If it is, I’ll have to check the skies for flying pigs and surely he!! must have frozen over.
His eyes are full of dollar signs.
This is the Brian Depalma film that was blatant in its depiction of our troops in the field as nothing more than rapist and child killers that it's actually used as a recruiting film for fundamentalist groups through out the middle east.
Cuban and Depalma should have been brought up on charges of treason.
He's bankrolled so many dishonest, anti-American propaganda films that even if this one is actually not a leftist hit piece, I will never support anything this guy has anything to do with!
Because he’ll be just as happy with Mitt in office.
...... While we may be giddy about the possibility of the release of this pic just before the election ..... we may want to stop and think that now Mr. Cuban is holding the cards as to when the film will be released. His allegiance is to the left and not to the right. All the president needs to do now is give the word and this flick will be stalled as long as it takes to deliver the big brass ring to the Prez in November.
Probably was in the works before the Chick-fil-A thing, but for sure it's all about the money. Maybe also he's pretty sure Obama is going to lose and sports team owners do not like losers!
Republicans buy season tickets, too.
IIRC , Cuban wrote a scathing op-ed on huff po right after 0 was elected , but before he was sworn in . He was ticked there were no entrepnures on 0’s economic team . I think he went silent after that indiscretion .
Not putting one dime in the arrogant Cuban’s pocket, no matter what. Sorry, I don’t need a movie to tell me what “Occupy” is all about.
Mark Cuban is a LIBERAL PUKE.....somethings up.
Emphasis on "all rights" concerning "distribution!"
Is a "deal" that allows long time leftist and Obamanista Mark Cuban to call ALL THE SHOTS on the distribution of this documentary really something for Obama opponents to celebrate?
I wanted to see the new Total Rekall but a friggin Obama propaganda film is playing at the theater at the same time.
I’ll wait for it on BluRay.
Agreed!
So whatever happened to the occupackers, did their paychecks stop coming?
