Oh no .. I’m so sorry to hear you lost a
sweetie. I know how badly it hurts.

when they must. Praying and hoping your smiles
return in due time, and your heart aches less
and less each day, dear TOL. Time is such a
miraculous healer and mercy from God. Hugs and

We knew he wasn’t going to last much longer. He had been
deteriorating at an increasingly faster rate for a month or two.
A week ago today, I took him outside to play in the grass
(and eat a little). I supervised his outdoor excursions and
never let him out by himself. There are too many big raptors
out there, including the Bald Eagles from over at the lake.
I am so happy that he got one more play date outside before
the end. Three days later, he died before we had a chance to
get him to his vet’s appointment last Saturday.
He’s supposed to come home tomorrow or Friday. I have a
pretty wooden box for his ashes, and I will keep them for all
my life.
