President Barack Obamas re-election effort is paying close attention to two candidates mounting third-party campaigns for the presidency, believing they could draw votes from Republican rival Mitt Romney and help Obama win a few tightly contested states.
One candidate is Virgil Goode, a former conservative Virginia congressman who is running as a member of the Constitution Party....."
Obama does not need more than 50% with enough useful idiots.
If I were Obama, I’d be urging Democratic supporters who have maxed out their contributions to donate to Johnson and Goode. I’d also have them donate to Super PAC’s for those candidates.
BTTT...quite a few people here seem to miss this.
The Democrats did that in previous elections by donating to the constitution party in FL. They even gave them money to run ads in the I-4 coridor to skim votes away from the republicans.
There is a consistent niche of voter who is to stupid to realize they are being played. Johnson and Goode’s motives have to be questioned since they do not even have a snowflake’s chance in hell of being relavent.
Where are Ralph Nader and Cynthia McKinney when you need them?..............
Well, you know, a lot of people here all know that Romney is secretly worse than the most destructive, divisive, left-wing, radical, pro-Marxist, pro-muzzie, pro-death, anti-American, anti-freedom, anti-everything we all claim to love and support administration ever. /s
When is Romney going to start his campaign? This better not be it because if so there will be years of hellish Democrat gloating.
Mr. RomneyCARE should pull out NOW and save America.
I knew this was coming.
If I were in charge of the DNC, I’d be clandestinely funding the Libertarians, Constitution Party, etc.
Some of these parties (The Constitution Party comes mind) have platforms more appealing to conservatives than the GOP. With enough money, they might rack up enough support to tilt elections.
Of course, if I were the GOP, I’d be lending some support to the Greens...
And these are the very same clowns who,if Osama is carried over the top by winning VA by 1000 votes and that whackjob "Goode" gets 3000 there, will be talking about buying a $4000 generator, stocking up on ammunition and "going Galt".

We all need to keep our eyes on the ball: DEFEATING THE COMMUNIST OBAMA. Not voting or voting third party is really voting for that abomination and voting to turn America into a turd world communist shit hole. Romney’s not as good as we’d like, much like hamburger vs. steak. The choice is a no-brainer when it’s hamburger vs. communist shit, the exact difference between Romney and Obama.
They would, but that is a discussion for another time. We tried, and failed, to get a more conservative GOP candidate. We need to figure out how to do that for the next election cycle.
That fight is over, for the time being. The battle before us is to get Obama out of office. Do these candidates help or hinder that?
That is one of the most pathetic things I've have ever seen in American politics.
Even the Romney campaign admits that folks can't stand Romney - that they're not supporting him per se - but that their electoral hopes lie in the belief that people will be motivated by abject fear.
Astounding admission.
I’m not a Romney fan, but I ‘ll be voting for him.
My take is that it would be far easier remove a President Romney in the primaries in 2016 (if need be) than it would be to undo all the damage the Kenyan would do in a second term.
If we lose any more of the Supreme Court, as just one example, it’s game over.
Sure, some on our side will be able to boast of their ideological purity when they vote third party, but the damage Pres. Soetero does to the country in the ensuing four years may be irreparable. Too high a price to pay for me.
there will always be 3rd party candidates as long as there are suckers too stupid to realize they are being played.
The senate is the key race.
The predident is only going to be “persuadable” the first year after that it is all election distraction.
You could run the most perfect conservative in the entire known universe and there would be a third party candidate funded by the DNC.

Believe he is operating under certain spending restrictions by law until after the convention.
