Because of Adam Smith [Chick-Fil-A incident] many will no longer support liberal gay community

The internet world awoke to a video of an exchange between Mr. Adam Smith, the now former CFO/Treasurer of Arizona based Vante, who has since been fired after embarrassing the company, and a young woman working the drive-thru window at his local Chick-Fil-A restaurant.
Smith, enraged by the first amendment freedoms Americans have to express opinions he disagrees with, chose to direct his frustrations with the Chick-Fil-A corporation by ambushing and berating a young lady trying to support her family by working at the drive-thru window of the restaurant.
Despite the professional and courteous service Smith received from the lady, he was unable to restrain himself from unleashing a vicious verbal assault on her. Much to her credit, she remained calm and collected - something Smith, the acting CFO of a company, could not do. Unmoved by the kindness of the young lady, Smith continued his relentless barrage, all of which was captured on his hand-held camera and later posted on the internet.
The liberal gay community continues to be its own worst public affairs advocate. Until the leaders of that movement learn to be tolerant of American values and the freedoms American's have under the constitution, it will continue to push away those who have tried to defend it.
For the record. I am absolutely NOT gay nor do I believe it is okay to be gay.

Homosexual rage is fueled by self hatred.
They hate what is normal because it reminds them that they are not.
Well said!

Yes it is free speech as you have it. He bullied that girl because he knew she could do nothing about it. She said she was uncomfortable but he persisted. That comes very close to assault.

Havent seen this. Is Smith gay? Oh you just GOTTA go see this thing on youtube. He took his video down but others had downloaded it and reposted it.
The youtube thread that I'm watching has over 2000 comments and believe me, they're inventing swear words on the spot. My Favorite is "King Douchebag for the Day"
It's so funny.

He was merely exercising his First Amendment right to express an opinion Chick-Fil-A disagrees with, wasn't he? If that was exercising his 1st Amendment "right", then his company probably saved themselves some serious harassment lawsuits dumping this bozo. I can only imagine how he treated people who worked for him, if he goes so off the rails to someone he doesn't know.
(P.S. The second part of your handle is an apt description of your grasp of this incident)

After reading this thread and many others like it, a thought came to me.
Are we being manipulated to take our concentration off other things that are going on right now?
Gotta wonder...

She told me Your statistics are outdated....oookaay.Clearly a hopeless case (militantly illogical).
And for the record (from the CDC), Men who have sex with men make up 2% of the population (thats right, forget the 10% number that gets thrown around). And, they account for 61% of new infections.
Yes. These facts need to be trumpeted loudly and repeatedly. The faux images the media presents for propaganda purposes of the "happy and normal" homosexual "family" need to be supplanted with a more accurate picture - one which illustrates the medical and psychological dangers associated with this lifestyle.

She said she was uncomfortable but he persisted. That comes very close to assault.
So now our side is imposing "speech codes"? Banning "hate speech"?
Don't you see that this is merely the inevitable result of treating the Bill of Rights as though Moses brought it down from the mountain on stone tablets?
I'm GLAD that a-hole got fired. I'm GLAD Dan Cathy stood firm. And if there were a Chick-Fil-A in my city, I'd have GLADLY stood in line for an hour to patronize that morally-upstanding business. But NOT because "freedom of speech" is from God; but because morality is.
We need to get off this weak ground of "free speech" - where the good people have lost time and time again - and fight instead from the unassailable hilltop of morality.

Are we being manipulated to take our concentration off other things that are going on right now?Probably.
But on the bright side, this issue may well have the power to damage the democrats in the upcoming election. People associate militant gays with democrats, and the DNC has decided to add "gay marriage" to their party plank at their upcoming convention, which will have the effect of rubbing people's noses in it.

Gays only make up about 4-5% of the American population. I don't think it's even that high. I've always read it's closer to 1-2%. That's a super-minority if I ever saw one, yet the entire nation is being bullied into accepting their perverted lifestyle.

We need to use our freedom to pursue morality rather than using it as a license for immorality.
I like your argument. However, liberals and progressives have very little absolute morals - other than hating the morals of others. In other words, the liberals aren't just attacking our "freedom of speech." They are SPECIFICALLY attacking Christian and conservative morality!
They don't like us having freedom of speech, but they HATE us having morals! They want to make our moral objection to homosexuality ILLEGAL! At this point and time, the homosexual mafia is winning this battle - in the legal courts. I think the American public showed on Wednesday - and all the voter referendums against same-sex marriage - that the homosexuals are NOT winning over our hearts and minds! In other words, they aren't winning the "moral" fight.
I am paraphrasing a found father, but he said something about our Constitution not being suited for a moral-less society. The direction America is heading, where Christian morals and values are being bashed, mashed and scolded by the MSM and liberals, I think we are seeing that he was most certainly CORRECT!

It doesnt say Your employer shall make no law....
Tell that to the government.
We've all seen the government trample this and other rights in their desire to suppress good people doing good things. And your answer is to appeal to these rights? We've already lost that battle. And you want a do-over?
I'd ask, "How's that working out for you?" except everyone already knows the answer. Our side was compromised and the battle lost when we started using "free speech" as a license for saying and doing things that ought not be said or done.
We were hoisted by our own petard. We haven't a leg to stand on. We're sliding down the slippery slope and complaining about it all the way.

“Gays only make up about 4-5% of the American population.”
The 2010 Census reported 1.7%. It is ridiculous for this tiny number of deviants to try to overturn our culture, and only in a supine country would they even try.

The more normal mainstream Americans see how hate-filled, rude, vile, and loony the left is the better.I know that this video does show the true nature of the "movement"; but, I can't be too surprised by it since it seems to happen over and over. I knew who the "hateful" people were some years ago when I watched a "gay activist" push down an elderly woman in CA who was protesting against "gay marriage". After that, I don't really expect good behavior from these people, and they never surprise me.
