MSNBC's Chris Matthews implies the Tea Party is racist.
Chris Matthews: I think a lot of it is ethnic to it and I'm not trashing people as racist or anything, but I think a lot of it is ethnic. Meaning, they don't like the changing demographic of the United States. So every time --
Max Pappas, FreedomWorks: Yeah, especially Hispanics like Ted Cruz.
Matthews: No, no. He's a Cuban-American and that's always been a little different situation.
Pappas: Or Marco Rubio? Allen West?
Matthews: Every time a speech is written by a Tea Partier, they're not sufficiently happy with saying, 'we're going to cut spending.' They've got to say we're going to do something with the border. By the way, the border doesn't cross Cuba by the way, it's always Mexico.
Pappas: That's not a Tea Party position.
Matthews: Well why watch Cruz that statement?
Pappas: He's in Texas, they have a big border.
Matthews: All the time, you hear border, border, border.
Pappas: What brings the whole Tea Party together across the country is at the center of American politics. It's not extreme. It's let's only spend what we bring in. It's fiscal policy.
Matthews: You're saying Tea Partiers don't have an attitude about immigration?
Pappas: No.
Matthews: They don't?
Pappas: No. There is not a consistent Tea Party position on immigration.
Matthews: What do you mean there's not a consistent position? How come when you meet them, they talk about the 'cause'? It sounds like the Confederate Army still fighting the Civil War when you talk to them.

That’s an easy one - there’s a long history of DNC shills making the transition to commentator and he’s simply one of them. Bill Moyers, George Steponallofus, Cokie Roberts (by proxy via Hale Boggs) and I’m sure the list goes on and on. Matthews was a Tip O’Neill operative.
I disagree... I think he does, but as a liberal talking head, it's his duty to spread lies and disinformation about the Tea Party. The Tea Party is for a smaller, constitutionally-bound government. Libs like Matthews are for big, huge government with a "living" i.e. watered-down constitution. He knows the difference, but, like most tv libs, he's such a dishonest jerk, he won't admit it.
I also cant listen to Obama. I honestly can feel my blood pressure rise any time he speaks. I yell liar and change the channel.Yup.
LLS
Matthews: No, no. He's a Cuban-American
So Cubans are not Hispanics? I thought Cruz and Rubio were "White Hispanics". But they are not even "White Hispanics", they are Cubans.
The left is truly Orwellian.
There are two sides to that coin.
The one side is that their end goal, heaven on earth, total human actualization, is worthy of any means necessary.
And, as a correllary, anyone that stands in the way of this goal can be destroyed or exterminated with no, or even positive, moral implications.
“Your 12 year statement is exactly right. Before Bush v Gore, he was reasonable.”
I have a theory about all of this.
The Northeast/Washington media corridor is nothing more than Kabuki theatre. Each commentator has a role that they play before us, the audience, also known as the American people.
Each actor plays a part. Matthrews plays the part of the assinine liberal commentator who is in love with Obama. Olbermann was the angry leftist, however when they found out his understaudy, Shultz was better, they fired Olbermann.
Krauthammer, plays the Conservative. And on and on.
In the end, they are all Capitalists, they all make investments, they all probably call Obama a fool. But since this is how they make their living, they are not going to tip over the apple cart.
It also explains Bill Maher and Dennis Miller. Two complete opposites who found that they can earn more money by playing roles opposite of how they grew up.
Thanks, I had forgotten that one. Good ol' Zell.
Just about everything the rats do is an attempt to construct the "Straw Man."
Perfection through extermination.
How many times does history have to repeat itself?
Yes...an experiment that failed.
If it wasn;t for FR, I'd have no idea who ed schultze or prissy chrissy were.
Amen to THAT!
