Adam Smith, the man who videotaped himself getting free water at a Chick-Fil-A drive-thru just to berate the young woman as been fired.
Smith in his video said he was happy to feel "purposeful" in condemning the Chick-Fil-A employee over CEO Dan Cathy's same-sex-marriage remarks. The video went viral and citizen journalists tracked him down online and grabbed copies of his resume. His employer, Vante, released this statement a bit ago:
Vante of Tucson, AZ Regrets Actions of Former CFO
Employee Has Left the Company TUCSON, AZ--(Marketwire - Aug 2, 2012) - The following is a statement from Vante: Vante regrets the unfortunate events that transpired yesterday in Tucson between our former CFO/Treasurer Adam Smith and an employee at Chick-fil-A. Effective immediately, Mr. Smith is no longer an employee of our company.
The actions of Mr. Smith do not reflect our corporate values in any manner. Vante is an equal opportunity company with a diverse workforce, which holds diverse opinions. We respect the right of our employees and all Americans to hold and express their personal opinions, however, we also expect our company officers to behave in a manner commensurate with their position and in a respectful fashion that conveys these values of civility with others.
We hope that the general population does not hold Mr. Smith's actions against Vante and its employees.

“This “Adam Smith” is a flaming Leftie who really stepped in it with his rudeness & hate.
He no longer has his CFO position. Wonder where he will work next?”
He can go to work for GayCPenney, CNN or MSNBC late night
as a hostile queer faggot faux host, who hates America, Christians and loves the darkside.
The article says it probably won’t change the idiots behavior. I say it will. Discipline is never a one time thing. It takes continuous effort. If this guys never gets disciplined then his action will never change and will only get worse, so at least losing this job and probably having a real tough time finding another might get his attention, but doing nothing certainly won’t.
In most States this guy’s conduct would cross the criminal line into Menacing. He could have been arrested. If the girl in the drive up was under 18 that turns it into a felony in some States.
“Lunch time is company time.”
No, it isn’t. I don’t know where you got that, but it isn’t. Not for enyone.
“NO ONE (with few exceptions) should be fired for his political or religious beliefs. “
He wasn’t fired for his beliefs. He was fired for his conduct.
“...The grounding foundation of “liberalism”....”
Liberalism embraces secular humanism which is the physical manifestation of what took place in Genesis Chapter 3. They have to deny/hate God in order to try to substantiate their existence. It really is a serious form of insanity as we see everyday when one of these clowns opens their pie hole.
Yep, I’ve stated that before -
“liberalism” is simply the political expression of the religion of humanism which began in Genesis 3 when Satan said “you will be as gods”.
Did you notice it said “Interested In: Men”
This guy was a top-level executive, and all his companies’ websites were shut down yesterday while they tried to erase any record of his existence within the company. I figured he wasn’t gonna be around long.
Not so sure he got fired for his ‘beliefs’ so much as the manner in which he decided to express those beliefs. Especially doing the video & putting it out into the world.
Verbally attacking a teen age girl who is doing her job & who didn’t do anything to initiate or retaliate against this jerk would be my biggest reason to fire him.
As an executive of the company, he is a full-time, all the time, representatative of the company & it’s values, IMO.
I would be thinking that more & more companies are now looking at their company code of conduct manuals after this jerk went off.
Good point.
The conduct of the two men is not comparable. Cathy merely expressed his belief in a polite response to a question. Smith not only verbally harassed and abused another person with whom he disagreed, but he also broke the law by recording the confrontation despite the young lady's objections AND then posting it on the internet. Had he merely expressed polite disagreement when asked a question, then he should not have been fired. But that's not what he did.
Yes. I guessed that after he insisted, repeadley, that he was not gay.
Yes ... that young lady is the real star and the only one on the vid who is executive material. She should get Smith’s job. This vid is actually a great promo for Chick fil A as it shows the high quality of their employees.
For an executive - sure it is! I he had to stay pass 5, 6 7 or 8 pm - there is no overtime - he is salaried.
He is NOT an hourly worker.
“Wonder where he will work next.”

Probably cleaning toilets but not at Chick-Fil-A! I would wager that he has seen his last well paid job. What a fool.
sad.
But typical.
