Adam Smith, former CFO and treasurer of medical supplies manufacturer Vante, riled people up today when he put up a video of himself bullying a Chick-fil-A drive-thru employee in Tucson on YouTube.
Smith unsympathetically berates the worker in the video, which was initially titled Reduce $s to Chick-Fil-As Hate Groups. It has since been taken down (though other have uploaded it too).
Im a nice guy, by the way totally heterosexual," he says to the worker. "Not a gay in me, I just cant stand the hate.
Smith has now been fired from his job at Vante. Here's the press release from Vante announcing that Smith is "no longer an employee of our company," effective immediately:

Karma.
How long before he files a wrongful termination lawsuit?
I support free speech for all - even lefties. Was hostile and not properly done but don’t feel someone should be fired to expressing political views unless there’s some other interest at stake.
“Hoist with your own petard”: Injured by the device that you intended to use to injure others.
There’s a lot that going around with the left recently.
They’ve just gotta learn to dial down the hate ... heh.
Key Points:
how smug he is
his delight as he anticipates inflicting harm
Sadistic and Narcissistic.
ASAP....and he will say they fired him because he’s GAY!!!!
You?
Excellent.
This has totally backfired on liberals. We are not taking their bullsh1t anymore.
They had better get used to it, they better get used to being on the losing end of stuff for a long, LONG time.
This is karma at its apex. Almost as satisfying as a chikin sammich.
” he put up a video of himself bullying a Chick-fil-A drive-thru employee “
Bullying the employee shows lack of character...
Posting the video shows lack of common sense...
How did this guy even get Peter Principled into a responsible position with a profit-making firm???
Im a nice guy, by the way totally heterosexual,” he says to the worker. “Not a gay in me, I just cant stand the hate.
I disagree with everything he said.
I think the employee handled the situation very well.
I always try to keep from venting my frustrations with ‘front line’ employees, who do not control a business’s practices....because I’m not a chicken shi’ite anal orifice....but that’s just me.
I imagine his company was embarassed by one of their executives acting in such a manner in public, then posting the video on YouTube. To me he was salting the wound by gloating on YouTube.
Read the press release from the company and see if you don't agree with their position:
We respect the right of our employees and all Americans to hold and express their personal opinions, however, we also expect our company officers to behave in a manner commensurate with their position and in a respectful fashion that conveys these values of civility with others.
Parsing...notice he was restricting his declaration to the present. I wouldn't want to speculate beyond that.
Also, while he lost his position with Vante he might just have earned Tenure at his side gig with his reprehensible behavior.
>>Was hostile and not properly done but dont feel someone should be fired to expressing political views unless theres some other interest at stake.<<
He was fired for posting it on YouTube. THAT made it look REALLY bad.
It wasn’t his views, it was his bullying of some teen worker at a drive thru window. She even said, “This is making me very uncomfortable.” He then asked her how she could sleep at night! He harassed her when it wasn’t even her fault then proudly posted it for the world to see.
GREAT, SIMPLY GREAT. I saw his video this morning and read the general public responses on Utube and they were stomping on him. I also read all Freepers had to say about this on our thread. Some of us Freepers were sending messages to that company after it came back on line and I think some Freepers called them.
Praise to that company for immediately dumping him. Never thought they would do that and certainly not that fast. GREAT! SO GREAT!
This jerk isn’t being punished by the govt, so “Free Speach” is not at play. Also, what about the company’s rights? Don’t they have the right to choose who works for them? And to fire people who create what was likely a pending PR nightmare for them?
REALLY??????? He was a RUDE BULLY and was an EMBARASSMENT to his company and the college. If they DIDN’T fire him they would be negligent.
Typical leftist when he gets in a position of power. Pulls the “in your face” “don’t you know who I am” attitude and lectures everyone.
