President Obama pushed for "putting some hard hats back to work" on infrastructure jobs at a campaign event in Mansfield, Ohio on Wednesday. Obama, who admitted "shovel-ready was not as shovel-ready as we expected" last June, is encouraging funding for rebuilding the nation's infrastructure, a key component in his 2009 stimulus.
"If were investing in roads and bridges, putting some hard hats back to work, getting our steel workers back to work, they got some more money to spend. Maybe they buy that new computer. Maybe they decide to take a little vacation. And all that money circulates in the economy and it makes us all grow," Obama said at the campaign event.

Well yes, money will circulate. Unfortunately for genius, it takes a long, long time to go from passing the budget to start digging. From what I have heard, it usually takes about 4 to 5 years to get things going, what with all the red tape and all.
What, did I just lose the last three years? I thought the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 took care of this.
But he wants to tax away money which could have been used to buy a new computer or take a little vacation and won't be under his plan, so that money won't circulate in the economy.
For his next trick he will institute a plan of breaking store windows to get more money to circulate to the glaziers and make everyone richer.
Money you want to take from someone else who could spend it better than you marxists.
These idiots live in an upside down world.
OK, so we borrowed a trillion dollars for all these “shovel ready” projects. But those projects weren’t as “shovel ready” as he thought they were, so now we need to borrow another trillion dollars?
The obvious question any American with two functioning brains cells should ask is: “If the projects weren’t shovel ready then, why do we need another trillion dollars? If we weren’t ready to spend it then, where the **** did it go?
Well, since the private sector is doing just fine, it went to government 'workers.'
We already PAID FOR THESE projects. WASF.
What Obama just doesn’t see is that those supposed shovel ready jobs are really only temporary and must be paid for by funds borrowed by the U. S. Treasury. Private sector jobs cost the Government nothing, have at least the potential to be permanent and add money to the Treasury.
That’s a pretty simple concept but it just goes right over the heads of Libs.
Yikes, and he’s ON the prompter.
So, Obama Genius, since the money circulates, can’t you just make do with the same pile of money? Why does the rich need to pay ever more?
Money circulates from the politicians to the unions and back again.
In the meantime, while the “infrastructure” is being worked on, traffic is snarled, goods arrive to market late, etc. because the unions did a crappy job in the first place (I live in Boston and have first-hand experience), took too long to do the job in the first place, and do a crappy job and take too long to repair it. This is all to keep the money flowing as long as possible by the way.
Where exactly is the growth here?
And the budget that the Dims never got around to making, its called DNA. A second sign of cancer is when the unrestrained growth stops following the laws and blueprints of the host and just does what it wants, which is grow and consume.
A third parallel is if it is benign or malignant. That is, has the cancer spread beyond the original infestation, like to the supreme court or the Justice Department and the EPA.
If you have an ever consuming growth to no purpose that is spreading throughout your government, you have a malignant cancer or Corruption via Marxism.
The economy does not grow because of consumer spending increases. It can inflate and mimic growing thusly but an economy actually grows when money is saved, not spent by consumers. That is where real capital comes from. That goes to the very basis of the theory and practice of capitalism.
to quote a wise man, who knew the manner of these things,
“There you go again.”
Fool me once, shame on you.
Fool me twice, shame on me.
“We already PAID FOR THESE projects.”
As I prepare my Federal Highway Use Tax (Form 2290), I do believe that if funds such as these were simply earmarked for highway infrastructure, it would be complete self sufficient. (Fuel taxes, FET of 12% on parts, tires and on equipment).
BS. Taking money out of the private sector to turn around and give it to the public sector doesn’t grow squat.
