The CBS affiliate in Savannah gave it top-of-the-newscast coverage and did it honestly.
I enjoyed reading a NPR article. They had to admit to the long lines and so on. Of course, they had to finish the peice by mentioning the ‘kiss in’ on friday.
My local CBS affiliate did cover it. However they spent a good percentage of the report showing a still pic of the one counterprotestor at the North Charleston SC location. He was holding a rainbow flag. They reported that he said he had plenty of honks of support. Why they didn't interview him on video tape ( they could have ) is anyones guess. Maybe they did and decided he was too goofy for prime time.
Nothing wrong with a small counter protest. We frequently have them. Except if it was a lib event and one Freeper Freeping the media would go out of their way to ignore it.
they were waiting to see any queers or left wing nut jobs protesting and when they saw the crowds of god Americans they said screw this lets leave.
Typical of the media today and yet again the media shows us why they are the biggest enemy to America
Probably because if they had vid he would either embarrass himself or their cause - or it would be obvious that the honks were people telling him to get out of the road so they could drive through.
My local ABC station did a fair report. The local NBC news appeared to ignore it.
He wasn’t blocking the road.
I don’t mean in the still, I mean in the potential video.
He was beside a major highway and far away from the store. If it was a Freep, it’s probably where we would stand. High visibility and no possible blockage of activity. My point is an interview with him would have probably ended up cut as it wouldn’t do his side any favors.
Ah, okay. Yeah, my point was pretty much the same.
On the other hand, he might have gotten honks of support from the same people going to CFA in the name of supporting First Amendment rights - he has the right to protest, just like Cathy has the right to voice his own opinions. Just because one or the other is unpopular with some people does not eradicate their right.
Today is going to exhaust Chik-Fil-A employees. In appreciation for all their hard work, maybe the company should close their stores for one day and give them a chance to recover. Maybe...Friday? ;)
They can’t cover an actual event? What the Hell are they, Pravda?
Are we all showing up again Friday? I really think we should, to show some support for the GREAT staff that did such a fine job with the food; might meet my (female) wife there.
Now THIS is what I call a POWER LUNCH!!!
The State Sponsored Media also refused to show the TEA Party in DC numbering in the millions, but they will cover 10 liberals on a street corner.
You have to ask?
For the record, CBS in Atlanta did cover the big crowds at a Chick-Fil-A there. They shot video and interviews and had a live reporter on the air from there and even sent a helicopter to shoot the crowds from the sky.
Not sure if they covered a different location from the one in that YouTube video or if the truck driver didn’t know what he was talking about (I think the reporters and producers probably don’t drive the truck) or maybe he was just messing with the citizen journalist. But they were definitely there. You can see the video on their website. Google CBS Atlanta.
the FNC is reporting “equal crowds” are expected for the homosexual response.
And people still deny media bias. (Only it’s something far worse than bias, despite what Bernie Goldberg says.)
