Supporters of Chick-fil-A are eating at restaurants in the chicken chain Wednesday as the company continues to be criticized for an executive's comments about gay marriage.
Long lines were reported at Chick-fil-A restaurants at malls in Peabody and Burlington.
Former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee, a Baptist minister, declared Wednesday national "Chick-fil-A Appreciation Day."
Chick-fil-A president Dan Cathy told the Baptist Press last month that the Atlanta-based company was "guilty as charged" for backing "the biblical definition of a family." That unleashed a torrent of criticism from gay rights groups and others, who have called for boycotts and efforts to block the chain from opening new stores.

Took me 30 Mionutes to get to the register to order. There was a traffic jam in the mall parking lot with the cars waiting in the drive through line. The line started outside the door and wound around after it got inside. Everyone was polite smiling, and happy, the sandwich was great.
Poor kids working there will sleep tonight they worked their butts of today.
I live in Maryland and we have a referendum on homosexual marriage in November. Watching the crowd at Chick Fil A gioves me great hope that same sex marriage will go down in Md.

I support private property rights but you don't check First Amendment at their door.
Some of the Twitter comments:

Pretty repressive, if you ask me.
You have now spammed the same post on 8 threads.

You should try reading the First Amendment and see what it actually says. It does not prevent private property owners from protecting their customers from being harassed.
Thanks for posting this. Hope your referendum succeeds.
Even in Mass-of-chute-sex?
Did you try the one in Shrewsbury?
No. The nearest location for me is about 80 miles away. Just saw the video.
I didn't feel so alone in the People's Republic of Massachusetts today...:)
Maybe at&t and other businesses will figure out that catering to a tiny, angry, hate-filled minority is not the best business plan after all.
Ask democrat gov. Lester Maddox for business advice.
Maddox did and was elected by his democrat base.
Chic-A-Fil-A, serves to everybody and hires not based on religion, race and sexual orientation.
Didn't Taxachusetts have homosexual "marriage" imposed on them by the court & legislature rather than having a chance to vote on it? I know we did in CT. The point is most people in any state are against this sham type marriage, this is one way they're able to express their outrage. The added bonus is that they're getting a good meal in the bargain.
And I’ll probably “spam” it to at least eight more.
I know the reporters in question—they are not push, obnoxious, or otherwise “harrassing”.
Free speech (reporters’ questions), free assembly/association, and free press don’t get cast aside because management fears publicity.
The reporters were basically providing free advertising for a struggling mall.
Lester Maddox. A Democrat chicken restaurant owner.
Moonbats on the Boston Herald web-site have Jumped the Shark. They are calling the people who are jamming the Chick-Fil-A’s “Racists” because they are mostly White. Then they started saying the food causes Cancer. LOSERS!!!!!!
It does not force private property owners to allow others to use their place of business in a manner they do not want.

Listening to Howie Carr right now. I read the BH comments. Libs heads are exploding on comments.
What part of the term “Private Property” don’t you get?
Glad to see the support but to get at the press maybe dem tactics are in order. Examples to use: Some people reported that Rahm and other democrat politicians spat on people waiting in line in their cities. Also there was a report that stabbings and assaults were common by both the press and those demonstrating against CFA.
It has also been reported that Chicago gang members threatened those in line with baseball bats and guns. Reports gushed in from emergency rooms throughout the city.
None of the above is true but truth never seems to matter when the left use similar tactics.
