Today is “National Chick-fil-A Appreciation Day.”
After intolerant and First Amendment-hating Chicago politicians blocked Chick-fil-A from building a restaurant, former Governor Mike Huckabee announced his support for the restaurant chain and its Constitutional right of free speech. He declared today Chick-fil-A Appreciation Day.
Allen sent this picture from west county St. Louis.
Allen added: People are standing in line 100+ deep to go inside. The lines go out and around the building. Two lines of drive through cars are around the shopping center.
St. Louisans also came out in huge numbers to show their support for the First Amendment.
The lot was jam-packed…
(Mike took these photos in Chesterfield, Missouri.)
The line goes around the block.
The line of cars wraps all the way around to the main boulevard, where the line still continues.
The surrounding streets and parking lots are packed.
The restaurant is full and the line goes out the door.
Normally, with this crowd volume you would expect short tempers and bedlam. That’s not the case today at Chick-fil-A. While the surrounding restaurant chains are empty, the people in this line are happily making a statement, talking to each other with smiles on their faces. They’re patriots taking a stand against a gross violation of our First Amendment right. And they are doing it in 100 degree temperatures.
Any bets if this will make the MSM tonight?
If you have more photos please send them in!
Rep. Jeff Duncan (R-SC) bought Chick-fil-A for his office staff today.
Here’s a photo from Texas.
Ruth Wendelken sent this from Texas: This is at 11:15 at the Los Colinas Texas Chick-fil-a. Notice the line is three cars wide around the building. The line of foot traffic is huge. Notice the sign of 315 cars served at that time. Now in center line. Its a great day for Freedom of speech. Take that Boston, Chicago and San Francisco!
It’s a big day in my area.
Black people being interviewed on the local news here in Indianapolis waiting in the drive thru line at Chick-Fil-A:
“We support the biblical view of marriage”
Obama is screwed, LOL.
I doubt it.
I thought of that as well. But... I thought of something better.
IF and when they do it, everyone should turn their back to them. (the one thing they can't stand is to be ignored)
If they ask why, tell them you as just doing what God will be doing to them eventually.
Shepard Smith is a major POS. He would fit in better at MSNBC. I have no idea why Fox hired him and can’t imagine why they keep him.
What a GREAT idea!! Woo-Hoo!
Isn’t his contract about up? I RARELY, RARELY, RARELY watch Fox anymore and it’s largely due to him.
Picked up lunch for the family today at Chik-Fil-A (southern MD). Drive thru line was out of the parking lot, about 10 deep, when I arrived at around 2pm. Parked and walked in, lines were almost to the door, dining area was packed. Got to say hi to one of my son’s fellow Special Olympics athletes who works there. One of the employees who opens the restaurant said lines were forming when he arrived this morning. This Chik-Fil-A is always having fundraising nights for our schools throughout the year and it felt good to support them today.
He's a piece of crap and hides it well. Every once in a while he let's one slip.
That’s the one I went to on my lunch break at 1:00. I only get an hour for lunch - it wasn’t enough time. That whole Target parking lot was a madhouse. I ended up hopping over to the Jack-in-the-Box, which of course, had NO line. :o)
It was a beautiful sight.
HA HA HA HA HA HA!! Love it, thanks for sharing!
I heard that myself. For a company referring their customers to another “rival” says MUCH!
Homosexuality is a narcissistic personality disorder. Shemp is angry that millions of Americans showed up today to to show support for traditional family values and to say that we will not be intimidated by the “gay” mafia.
Has Mitt eaten Chick-fil-a today?
Was at Chick-Fil-A in Burlington, NC this afternoon...doing my civic duty standing up for freedom of religion, freedom of speech, free commerce, defense of traditional marriage—you know, being an American! At 1:50 pm no line outside door (though drive-thru had a line). Inside, counter was packed with people, restaurant was full. As I left, people were continuing to come in the door (at around 2:15—well past lunch/well before dinner).
America is speaking, for those that wish to hear Her.
So cool! You made your impact by reporting in!
I'm going to take the late shift today (mmmmm -- dessert!), because I already ordered CFA mugs and stuffed toy cows online today.
I also took an hour to download the locations of every CFA in my roaming area -- between Philadelphia, PA and Raleigh, NC along Rt. 95. It's going in my car's glove compartment.
Amen! One thing I CANNOT tolerate is someone getting in my face.
What you do behind closed doors is NONE of my business. However, once you start throwing it in my face, taking pride in SIN, I must draw the line.
We are ALL sinners. The difference is we DO NOT take “pride” in our sins. In fact, personally, I am ashamed of my sins. I do not proclaim them to the world. It’s hard enough to admit them to myself.
