Congratulations to Ted Cruz! This is a victory both for Ted and for the grassroots Tea Party movement. This primary race has always been about the kind of leadership we need in D.C. Our goal is not just about changing the majority in the Senate. It is about the kind of leadership we want. Ted Cruz represents the kind of strong conservative leadership we want in D.C. Go-along to get-along career politicians who hew the path of least resistance are no longer acceptable at a time when our country is drowning in debt and our children's futures are at stake. The message of this race couldn't be clearer for the political establishment: the Tea Party is alive and well and we will not settle for business as usual. Now, it's on to November!
makes me think there really is a Republican/Rhino party....
as to how sad is Dick...enough to try to get a few liberals at his funeral....Gawd that's really sad!...and I shouldn't say this...but on someone else heart.....Pathetic!
The problem is that even if She or anyone else gets a bunch of actual Conservs in there, the very fabric of the party is riddled with libs, yes men and moderates at the aide/worker level.
Now I admit that today is a bit late to start a party for Nov., but in all honesty, emotional attachment of lifelong GOP voting aside, what happens hypothetically we get enough TEA in the GOP to ‘claim it’?
It’s most likely that the people at the structure level will not be on board with the new program and will do everything possible to get the old guard back into power. That’s just reality.
So a new party post 2012 is IMO a lot better for both us and America. It will be fighting against a destroyed Dem party and a greatly weakened GOP. Thus, no better time to step up and grab the ring. And it will have 1-1/2 and 3-1/2 years respectively to make or break it. But to succeed either way, as a new party or a refabbed GOP, the rot at low/mid levels has to be tosses out with the rot at the top levels. All connections and ‘favors’ to and from the past must be eliminated.
Yup. Why reinvent the wheel? For years Rush has said how stupid it would be to go to a third-party and watch 1992 happen all over again. The Republican Party has to be rebuilt from within. An sitting on one's ass and wishing on a star ain't going to make it happen.
If Indications of victory were so likely,
where were all the DC GOPe’s in the Senate.
You know, the ones who supported Lugar and Crist?
Palin may never be President. But it is clear that her mission to send conservatives to DC is working quite well.
The political class fears her, and with good reason.
Her REAL conservative Army steamrolls the GOPe’s astroturffers.
Someone needs to remind “Dick” Cheney, that he, Rove and Bush
finished with one of the lowest approval ratings in American
History. And as a result, gave us Obama.
Hey Dick. What did all that “experience” you, Rove and Bush
get us????????
Obama!
Another party would guarantee the Democrats would never lose another election.
The Whigs once believes something like that.
Perhaps it’s true in this case. Perhaps not. But with the GOP POing everyone but the true believers, they are not crying out for salvation. And as Cruz’s GOP assistance Free blowout shows, they are NOT needed to win elections for conservatives.
Channel 11 in Houston said people at Dewhurst’ headquarters were “blaming Sarah Palin” for the loss. Elitists still don’t get it.
actually that’s good!!!!...The liberal media did not warn their plantation residents....They missed the vote!!!....I hope they continue to ignore us....Shhhuuush..and as in the “old” military....Address 1 target at a time!
I'm not from Texas...but Hallelujah
Sounds familiar to what they said about Palin’s endorsements for Mourdock and Fischer
Go find a thread u can contribute to...LEAVE THIS ONE ALONE!...It's a celebration of sorts....would u have rather had Dewhurst???????????????????
Great news!
WOW!....Sarah just took Cheney out of the park...He forgot...all he can do is “pitch” now...Sarah is at the plate!!.....
even his daughter understands that!
Channel 11 in Houston..”
I don’t know about you but I got so tired of seeing back-to-back anti-Cruz ads. If NCIS would move to another channel, I would never have to watch any of the alphabet stations any more.
The spin is in. I’m sure Dewhurst knows why he lost the race but it is easier to blame someone else for their misfortune rather than admit those reasons publicly. Obama blames Bush for his troubles, Dewhurst blames Palin. Same song, same party with just a different letter after their last name. Politicians seem to think that being honest is a major character flaw.
Yeah. Some guys are a little slow figuring out what's happening, and what's at stake.
I think tonight's Palin-supported victory by Ted Cruz just gave them a headache. All that internal conflict, ya know.
