This lawsuit easily could bankrupt HSUS, put it out of business and send some of its top executives to prison.

I have also heard that when someone mentions the Humane Society in their will, the Humane Society can get rather aggressive about collecting a portion of the estate, or may even try to get the REST of the estate, thus knocking out other intended heirs.

Most excellent news for all those genuinely concerned about animals, those who care for and rescue them and the local shelters who’ve been fouled by the stench surrounding HSUS.

We've had nothing but trouble with our local humane societies. We tried to adopt a kitten and at the last minute, after everything was filled out and our 5 year old at the time had met and held the kitten, a director came in and said 5 was to young and took the kitten away. I said I knew how to take care of a kitten and a 5 year old and keep them both safe. Nope. As you can imagine lots of tears.

Another time, in another county, my FF hubby rescued a dog that had fallen through the ice. Beautiful German Shepherd that had obviously been trained. My husband stayed with him after his shift was over making sure he was warmed up, fed and made to feel safe. He fell asleep at the fire station. In swoops the humane society. They took the dog, and on the way out my husband said “he's such a good dog he obviously has an owner. I've had dogs my whole life and will adopt him if no one comes forward.” Two months later he was still sitting at the shelter and we went to visit. We began to fill out adoption paperwork until that director said my husband wanted him for the “wrong reasons”, he was “to attached” because he had saved the dog. Duh! My husband stormed off and began the search for the owners. He found them, they were elderly but the dog had been healthy so there was no reason not to return him. The couple had tried to find him. Even when they called him by name and he got all excited the “Humane” society acted like it might not be there dog. We made sure local media picked up the story at that point and he was returned. For the life of me I don't know why they didn't want these animals adopted or returned. We've never had any problem adopting an animal from other agencies.

Keep us posted. This will be fascinating. As for the charges that were dropped because they didn’t have standing, I hope that after this trial is over, they hand the evidence of wire and mail fraud over to the FBI for prosecution. The FBI will have standing to press those charges.

well maybe the Humane Society in particular is tainted, but people are called upon by God to treat animals with love nonetheless

Good to see Ringling Bros go after the Animal Rights Nazis.

However, with all the PhonyCon RINO appointed judges...all up to the SCOTUS, not sure if Ringling will get favorable rulings

I happened to be doing some research, and was able to find a copy of the opinion. At no charge to anyone, of course.

Make more coffee, it's 87 pages long.

It’s already interesting. If RICO can be used to prosecute wacko leftists it will be a boon America has needed for years.

Once sport hunting is banned, the arguments change from “You don’t need an AK-47 to shoot rabbits” to “You just don’t need that shotgun/rifle/pistol at all anymore.”

Finally. Not only is this group a criminal enterprise, but were well known for capturing peoples pets and killing them in the Norfolk area for years. This truly is a domestic terrorist organization that needs to be brought down hard.

The story starts off with the mention of the ASPCA and the Animal Welfare Institute being involved in this lawsuit and then there’s only the HSUSA. What gives? Weren’t the other two organizations involved in the countersuit? If not, why not?

It’s about time! Maybe the tide will turn & pet owners can begin the arduous task of rolling back the draconian laws that have been bullied & bought into local & state governments. Don’t forget that Wayne Pacelle (head of HSUS) & Cass Sunstein are big buddies.
