The music selection was a poor choice and was not intended to be linked to any news story. We regret any perception that they were planned together, a CNN spokesperson told the blog site Mediate.SUUUUUURE it wasn't planned!

“Apologies” are a dime a dozen these days. People are apologizing for apologizing. Everybody is doing it. Apologies are just meaningless drivel. Kind of like playing the race card.

We regret any perception that they were planned together Their apologies would be a little more believable if a)the violations were not all slanted the same way, and b) they'd just stop LYING about what they did.

If I didn’t read it here, I wouldn’t know about it. I haven’t watched CNN for a decade, not since their disgusting and hysterical coverage of Israel’s 2006 Lebanon War. That was the last straw for me.

I like the version by Garbage better.
It’s still all kinds of wrong for CNN to try to pull a stunt like that. This is why the news media is dead to me, except as fodder for ridicule.

I missed CNN’s on-air apology. Anyone catch it? /sarc

The music selection was a poor choice and was not intended to be linked to any news story. We regret any perception that they were planned together, I'm sure they just shook their iPod, and that's the song that popped up. Purely random. Right.

Wonder if the apology came after Rush covered this today. Basically highlighted how unprofessional and juvenile they are.

They are sorry?
Not really.
...We regret any perception that they were planned together,
Yeah. That's the ticket. Blame the listeners.

I hope they keep pulling juvenile stunts like this. They think they are so “cool” and “slick” and probably snicker about how sharp and “intelligent” their little gimmicks are.
Every time they pull this kind of childish stuff they lose 10 more viewers.
And at their level of viewership, that’s a hemorrhage.
At this rate, by this time next year, they will be nothing but a memory, and a bad one at that.

Did they remove Fox News from Golds Gym??
Man, liberals are nutso...
I travel a lot for work and you would not believe the number of times I found Fox News blocked or deleted from the TV in my room (I mean from the menu, meaning someone did it individually to that station on the TV itself)
So, I unblock it, and block all the others

I always thought that some real American would track down the little shit that thought this stunt was so cute and beat the holy hell out of him or her.

In other words they regret that YOU thought they were planned together. They’re apologizing for YOUR stupidity.
