“No doubt theyll say that we have to give workers a raise in order to offset the burden of paying for their obamacare.” - There, fixed it.

Every dollar an hour they raise minimum wage, more jobs will be lost.
Obama and his fellow travelers don’t miss a trick do they.
What do they plan on doing when there are no more jobs?
How do you measure success, when you’ve already destroyed every job in the U. S.?
Do you then start projecting?
“Well, this would have cost 100,000 jobs, but there weren’t 100,000 people working.”
“We do deserve the credit though! We tried very hard to kill off more jobs. We’re hoping voters will remember this on election day.”

“I see your hundred and raise you a billion gazillion cagillion!”
We all see your attempt at absurdity, your point would be much more effective if you used much more realistic numbers like “one hundred and eleventy billion”

Did you ever notice how everything the Democrats do raises the costs to businesses?
Small comfort, indeed, when George McGovern tried to run a B&B in CT, and was flummoxed by all the regs, and realized why normal Americans wouldn't vote for him.

You guys are off on an ideological rant about this when what is called for is cold rational thought. So why would Shumer care about giving folks a raise. He doesn't. Instead, he's looking at the employment options of TOMORROW"S Democrat party ~ the illegal aliens.
They need jobs, not a raise, so if he can get the federal minimum wage jacked up a couple more bucks that'll make it worth just that much more to employers to take the risk of hiring illegals for $4.50 an hour. They can then lay off their Americans to collect unemployment.
Never forget, Chuckey is a sociopath. He never does anything because he feels pity for them. He is the sort who gets his pound of flesh first.
Gillibrand is simply stupid.

Heck, why be such tightwads? Why not $50.00 or $100 an hour? There’s a “living wage” for you.

I have an idea: New York should secede from the United States and become it's own little socialist entity. That way Bloomberg, Schumer, Gillenbrand, the U.N. and all the rest of the liberal do-gooders can live the lives they really want.

You are nuts ~ for postal workers the baseline is whatever they were already working, and that's already nearly 7 X the minimum wage.
That's a fur jump.

According to BLS, June unemployment among “Black or African-American” teens was 39.3%. Schumer and Gillibrand don’t think it’s high enough, and want it to go even higher?
