Of all the things to laud in Britain's long history, the director of the opening ceremonies for the London Olympics chose for his second act ... universal health care.
Yes, that "NHS" spelled out by hospital beds in Friday's opening ceremonies stands for Britain's National Health Service the government-run universal health-care system that director Danny Boyle called an "amazing thing to celebrate."

Top doctor’s chilling claim: The NHS kills off 130,000 elderly patients every year
NHS doctors are prematurely ending the lives of thousands of elderly hospital patients because they are difficult to manage or to free up beds, a senior consultant claimed yesterday.
Professor Patrick Pullicino said doctors had turned the use of a controversial death pathway into the equivalent of euthanasia of the elderly.
They didn’t show the 130,000 old people who die for lack of care every year as the doctors and nurses cavorted on stage in their big dance number. To leave WWII, Churchill’s “finest hour,” out of Britain’s history, substituting the salute to managed death instead, tells us everything we need to know about the fall of England today.
Theme music from The Exorcist, followed by:
A celebration of Socialized Medicine, followed by:
Scary villains from childrens literature, chiefly Lord Voldemort, leader of the death-eaters, followed by:
The arrival of Mary Poppins singing A spoonful of sugar helps the medicine go down, followed by:
Theme music from the wonderful Christian film Chariots of Fire which was rudely mocked and made fun of.
Where are we going? And why am I in this hand-basket??
I thought it could not have been more blatant — a celebration of the Culture of Death and the use of medicine to expand that culture.
My sister’s mother-in-law in Nottingham is on that pathway right now.She is 82 years old.

I’m sure the director can buy a procedure if he need one.
U.S. doctors have already stated that cash is king!
There are plenty of ‘high-brow’ types running ‘higher’ education and the leadership of the NHS as well. With socialists it's always a matter of the ‘enlightened’ and privileged few ‘taking care of’ the unwashed masses.
Au contraire! Dental care in Britain is run in the same way,and by that same people,as is health care.My gut tells me that there's a correlation between their system's setup and the results spoken of in the link below.

This director Danny Boyle is the typical socialist hypocrite:
Slumdog child stars miss out on the movie millions
But the reality of life for Rubina Ali and Azharuddin Ismail is far closer to that of the characters they play in the story of love, violent crime and extreme poverty in India.
The child actors parents have accused the hit films producers of exploiting and underpaying the eight-year-olds, disclosing that both face uncertain futures in one of Mumbais most squalid slums.
Slumdog Millionaire has won four Golden Globes and is nominated for 10 Oscars. It is on its way to making hundreds of millions of pounds in box office receipts.
The films British director, Danny Boyle, has spoken of how he set up trust funds for Rubina and Azharuddin and paid for their education. But it has emerged that the children, who played Latika and Salim in the early scenes of the film, were paid less than many Indian domestic servants.
Rubina was paid £500 for a years work while Azharuddin received £1,700, according to the children’s parents.
The definition of “power” as provided in Orwell’s novel `Nineteen EightyFour”: The ability to make others suffer.
What’s the point in being rich if there is a large middle class that leads better lives than the rich a century ago?
It's universal alright. It previously was 90% good health-care now it is a 100% universal BAD health-care system.
The National Socialist German Workers' Party (German: Nationalsozialistische Deutsche Arbeiterpartei, abbreviated NSDAP), commonly known in English as the Nazi Party (from the German Nazi, abbreviated from the pronunciation of Nationalsozialist[5]), was a political party in Germany between 1919 and 1945. It was known as the German Workers' Party (DAP) prior to a change of name in 1920.

National Health Care: Medicine in Germany 1918-1945 [Nazi health care]
Does the Modern Bureaucratization of Medicine Risk a Return to the Horrors of National Socialist Medicine?
by Marc S. Micozzi M.D.
Today we are concerned about issues such as doctor-assisted suicide, abortion, the use of fetal tissue, genetic screening, birth control and sterilization, health-care rationing and the ethics of medical research on animals and humans. These subjects are major challenges in both ethics and economics at the end of the twentieth century. But at the beginning of the twentieth century the desire to create a more scientific medical practice and research had already raised the issues of euthanasia, eugenics, and medical experimentation on human subjects. In addition, the increasing involvement of the German government in medical care and funding medical research established the government-medical complex that the National Socialists later used to execute their extermination policies. ..."

I agree 100%. The NHS portion of the opening ceremony could only make me think of the movie Producers, "Spring Time for Hitler" in how bizzar it was. I hope all the beds are back in the hospitals this morning.
Bye-bye GB.
It must be that too many of the British (manly) men were killed off during the many wars and all that were left behind (pun intended) were the girly "men"
Disgusting. Sadly, not surprising. The ranks of the self-professed left include the most selfish, narcissistic, overrated people in the world.
