Ineffective ads unless they put them on TV. Those need to be televised. They are ‘sock to the gut’ good!

Coming from O’bama, I wouldn’t actually believe it

yup.

He said what he said.

He likely MEANT to say something more along the lines of what you posed. But he's not smart enough to come up with something like that, without a teleprompter.

And what he was THINKING was: "I can't believe you all are stupid enough to be applauding this. Send me more money so I can go golfing on your nickel for the next 4+ years!"

Exactly.

Not to pee in anyone’s cornflakes here, but if his spread the wealth comments didn’t sink him in ‘08, then I don’t see how this “You didn’t build that” remark will matter either.

Hopefully four years of this fool and his idiot statements, deeds and actions will convince America this clown needs to go.

When he says: “There are SOME things, just like fighting fires, we don’t do on our own”, it implies there are OTHER things that we do on our own. What, I would ask him, are some examples of those things that we do on our own? I hope someone asks him.

Those ads are very well done too, They are really good.

And some of the MSNBC show political analysts(no not Matthews) are saying that Obama+Co are really scared that these clips will show voters what he is really up to.

Will work well as the economy gets worse.

(You) Didn't Build That(, government did) (video ad)

The More Context You Get, The Worse It (Obama) Sounds" (video ad)

I improved the clip titles in the '()'

“One person didn’t build the Golden Gate Bridge, it was a nation.”

I believe the Golden Gate Bridge was built by the City of San Francisco, not the nation. As I recall, the federal government was against building the structure and tried to stop it.

Four more words: HATRED OF THE GOOD:
Envy stage 1: I wish I had that. Incentivizes
Envy stage 2: Resentment and living beyond means as a poser
Envy Stage 3: I want it: result criminality

Stages 1-3 are all based on the desire for what the other person has. But the next level is just hating the person who has what they have, hating them BECAUSE they are achievers and wanting them to lose it even if it has no gain to oneself.

Rand identified this feeling as the “hatred of the good for being good”

I love his roads and bridges line. Yeah — sombody did invest in that — the US Taxpayers. The government only exists because of the US Taxpayers.

And further, a good percentage of those tax dollars were paid by the wealthiest, corporations and small businesses. So, not only did entrepreneurs build the businesses, but they've also provided much of the capital to build this country.

I stand corrected.

My G-G-Grandfather built a road in the howling wilderness of what is now West Virginia in the 1820s that has now become a state highway. He didn't have any government help, but he did have help from family members building it.

Almost every major road and highway in the area where I live in the West was once a privately built toll or wagon road, all originally built without any kind of government help.

That's like saying, "The air was plenty clean around these parts before there even was an EPA." You hear several of the standard liberal variants of "Damn your logic."

"There are a lot of wealthy, successful Americans who agree with me..."

I admit I've been slow off the gate, but it finally sunk in how easy that is to satirize. Like so:

There are a lot of healthy, thriving American families who agree with me -- because they want to give more of themselves. They know they didn’t -- look, if you’re a parent, you didn’t get there on your own. You didn’t get there on your own. I’m always struck by people who think, well, it must be because I did the right thing. There are a lot of sexually active people out there. It must be because I screwed harder than everybody else. Let me tell you something -- there are a whole bunch of bunny-hunpin' people out there.

"If you're a parent, somebody along the line gave you some help. There was a great sex ed teacher somewhere in your life. Somebody helped to create this unbelievable act that we have that allowed you pass on your genes. Somebody invested in hootchie and cootchie. If you’ve got a baby -- you didn’t build that. Somebody else made that happen. You didn't get invented on your own. Government research created sex education so that all the parents could rejoice in their children.

"The point is, is that when we become parents, we become parents because of our individual initiative, but also because we do that certain thing together. There are some things, just like that thing, we don’t do on our own. I mean, imagine if everybody could reproduce by masturbation. That would be a hard way for us to orgnaize and rationally plan a family unit.

"So we say to ourselves, ever since the founding of this country, you know what, there are some things we do better together. That’s how we become parents in the first place. That’s how we created the Aerican family, in all its wonderful variants. That’s how we extended the bounds of nature by artificial insemination. We rise or slump together as one nation and as one people, and that’s the reason I’m running for President -- because I still believe in that idea. You’re not on your own, certainly not as a parent, so we’re in this together."
