Today world renown pastor and evangelist made a public statement in support of Chick-fil-a, and the controversy that surrounds the companys stance against gay-marriage. Graham is a proponent of the biblical position of marriage being between one man and one woman. His statement is as follows:
I want to express my support for my good friends Truett Cathy and his son Dan Cathy, and for their strong stand for the Christian faith. Ive known their family for many years and have watched them grow Chick-fil-A into one of the best businesses in America while never compromising their values. Chick-fil-A serves each of its customers with excellence, and treats everyone like a neighbor. Its easy to see why Chick-fil-A has become so popular across America.
Each generation faces different issues and challenges, but our standard must always be measured by Gods word. I appreciate the Cathy familys public support for Gods definition of marriage.
I also appreciate Governor Mike Huckabees leadership and for encouraging Americans to support Chick-fil-A on August 1. As the son of a dairy farmer who milked many a cow, I plan to Eat Mor Chikin and show my support by visiting Chick-fil-A next Wednesday.
I wonder if these haters would allow Reverend Graham to PREACH in their city.
The bottom line in this whole thing is... this company would bring MANY JOBS to the area. They are so busy all of the time... they have many employees and there would be lots of young people who would make money working a nice and... a fun job.
Of course Baby Rahm hates him.
Billy Graham came and preached in Central Park about 10 years ago, and the Catholic diocese sent us all to hear him because he was so orthodox.
Obama and his minions HATE orthodox Christians.
But they welcome with open arms the likes of Farrakhan, Sharpton and Jackson!
Not to mention tax revenue.
Amen!
Free speech is very one sided with the angry leftist! I think us Christians should step up our “spending”at Chickfila!
“The bottom line in this whole thing is... this company would bring MANY JOBS to the area.”
BINGO! Liberal dem governments destroy business and make everything more expensive for the citizens. They waste their time and the people’s money on pointless endeavors like worrying about whether the owner of a chicken franchise supports gay marriage.
I know I’m going to catch hell for posting this youtube link, but when I first heard about this years ago I was very disappointed with Billy Graham. The clip is an audio tape of Richard Nixon and Billy Graham privately discussing the “stranglehold” that the “Jewish media” has on the country in 1972. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VEMeWcnfRsE
August 1st is CFA Appreciation Day. I hope the media covers it. From what I hear, a lot of people are planning on being there.

I’ve never seen a Chick-fil-a, much less eaten at one, but if I see one on my next long trip, I will definitely give it some business. Help support the cultural warriors.
So now black Islamist will patrol Chicagos streets, attacking all homosexuals, according to the Koran. At the same time, kicking out business, creating more unemployment because of a Christian believing in the Word of God.
Way ahead of you. Ate both breakfast and lunch there.
Oh my gosh! Their chicken biscuits are the best! I’m not supposed to eat stuff like that any more, but I may just have to make the sacrifice for freedom of speech!
And well you should.
What is your point in dredging up this decades-old canard about Billy Graham? To "prove" that conservative Christians = anti-Semites = "homophobes"? They're all one & the same, right?
You might find yourself more at home in a forum that promotes the politically-correct and anti-God views you seem to be espousing.
Im not supposed to eat stuff like that any more, but I may just have to make the sacrifice for freedom of speech!”
Your response brightened my afternoon. My doctor warns me from time to time that if I continue to do something or the other I’m going to die. Well, I’m pretty sure I’m going to die anyway and I would rather go out knowing I did what I could to protect our precious freedoms. And God did say that Man shall not live by bread alone so it makes perfect sense to throw some CFA check in the middle.
Oh, give me a break. It’s not my fault Billy Graham was caught saying what he said. And no, I won’t leave.
BG made a mistake in 1972. And that is relevant to Chick Fil-A in 2012 how?
