Republicans are kidding themselves if they believe Mitt Romney, at least his current iteration, can win the election merely by attacking Barack Obama. Given Romneys lack of conservative principles, perhaps that is for the best.
Who is Mitt Romney? What does he believe? Where are his core principles?
There is no need to seek penitence if you dont know the answer to the preceding questions. After all, no one could provide a consistent answer. Romney was for gun control before he was the NRAs proudest supporter, for health care reform before he championed the repeal of Romneycare (excuse me, Obamacare), for gay rights before he decided marriage was between a man and a woman, a fierce defender of abortion rights before he became the chief opponent of Roe v. Wade, and, well, you get the picture. (It seems Romney learned a lot from his fellow Massachusetts resident, John Kerry.)
Romney is a principled defender of things he finds incredibly important, until he discards those principles the moment the weather vane changes direction.
Eric Fehrnstrom (Romneys chief campaign adviser) was speaking the truth this spring when he declared the Romney campaign would shake itself up like an Etch-A-Sketch after the Republican primary ended. But Fehrnstrom wasnt telling the entire truth.

What a stupid, useless post.
Good plan. I am sure you are confident that Tom Hoefling will defeat Obama. By the way, when your 401K is seized next year, and the national security forces visit your home to confirm the propriety of your views, please mention to the that you voted for Tom Hoefling. Since they will have never heard of him you will be deemed a friend of the State, who helped elect our Supreme Leader.
I get it. You want obama instead of Romney. So in your mind obama qualifies.
Something tells me this plan does not help keep Obama, the Communist, from finalizing his plan to dismantle America. I think you should stay after school and beat the erasers until you can present a better plan to the class.
LOL, good one...
ABOs and ABRs can unite to send this message by doing the following. In all the states that Romney can win, vote for him. In all the states where he has no chance to win (the West Coast, the Northeast, ect.), vote Republican all the way down the ticket except for President where we vote for whomever each of us thinks is a true conservative. This will also serve as a primary of sorts to tell the people who we think should run, to run.
Romney can win the election this way in the Electoral College, but lose by a landslide in the Popular Vote. Our uniting this way will hold Mitts feet to the fire, show the GOP-e we mean business and that their days may be numbered, AND prove to ourselves, True Conservatives, that we do have a voice and together we are loud enough to be heard all the way to the White House!
UNITED WE STAND DIVIDED WE FALL
The voters will decide who wins this year. I will be voting for the man I think is most qualified. You will not be ashamed of your vote if you believe in your candidate.
Well teach, I think you’d make your point better by stating what your course of action is, rather than being less than specific about what it is exactly that you disagree with in my post.
Good answser, kentramsay. I can understand Tau's wanting to change things and voting for the non-Romney candidate he or she believes can do that. It's the timing that is bad, IMO. Mark my words: Tom Hoefling will NOT be elected President in this 2012 election. Neither will any other alternative party candidate.
But I will be ashamed of your vote if Obama wins, becomes Supreme Leader, all because you voted for Wilbur Bronkowski, and helped him achieve 2.3% of the vote. I will not intervene then, when the security forces take you to the State Facility for attitudinal adjustment. You will have earned the special treatment. You get. Call Tom Hoeffer if you need help.
DUMP WILLARD FOR SCOTT WALKER !
No DoughtyOne. I cannot give you the answer. You are a student at the FreeRepublic School so a lot is expected of you. But I will try to assist by asking you a question. Hypothetical. You are at war for the survival of civilization. You are on the side of Good. You have a rifle with one bullet left. Te enemy is closing in on your HQ. An enemy combatant confronts you. You can shoot him, or you can shoot your Sargent, who you don’t like because he reminds you of a guy you hated in school. You decide to shoot him. You re shot and Civilization ends. But you feel good but shooting a guy who reminds you of something you disliked. Question - was this a good decision?
Romney is going to win in November. That isn’t blind faith, just obvious fact. And even if Romney is as evil as his enemies make him out to be, his faults are a drop in the bucket when compared to the evil of Obama. The liberal supporters of Obama, including those who are trying to destroy Romney by pretending to be conservatives, will be very disappointed come November the 7th. Their little commie will lose.
Somewhere there is an unguarded bridge...
Justin Green and Daily Caller need new material.
Romney shows every interest in Not Winning. He doesn’t want to win.
Go ahead, help Obama, you fool. Just don’t come crying to me when he’s re-elected because of idiots like you.
