The only possible suit I could see is if the theater disallowed C&C permit holders to carry in the building and then I would think you would need to be permit holder and in the building at the time of the shooting to have standing.

Legally speaking, this lawyer will probably focus on the lack of security. As a public venue, theaters are responsible for keeping a safe environment (making sure that people don’t trip over things, access to fire exits, building maint., etc).
I’m sure they’ll settle. Ten million dollars for the lawyers, and two free passes to the Cinemark Theater of their choice for each of the victims.
