The thing to keep in mind is that a company's employees will have no reason to complain to the company anymore about the quality of their health care when it's a government bureaucracy that manages the whole thing.

At the same time, a bloated, inefficient government operation can be a major opportunity for private business. Think about it: if the U.S. Postal Service was a well-run operation, would companies like UPS and FedEx be anywhere near as big as they are today?

Mind you, I do believe that health insurance should be decoupled from employment..it puts American workers, at a disadvantage with temp workers, and offshored employees, in which the company doesn’t have to worry about covering their insurance.

That should create a market for competitive health care plans where private companies compete for business. But unfortunately, it appears Washington is going to force government care on us.
