(CNSNews.com) When asked whether the House Republicans would permit or not permit funding for Obamacare in whatever legislation is enacted to fund the government after Sept. 30--when the current funding legislation runs out--House Speaker John Boehner responded that "our goal would be to make sure the government is funded," thus indicating that House Republicans do plan to fund implementation of Obamacare past Sept. 30.
Unless a special provision is put into the bill to fund the government past Sept. 30 that expressly prohibits funding specifically for the Obamacare regulation that requires health-care plans to cover, without cost-sharing, sterilizations, artificial contraceptives and abortifacients, the House Republicans, by funding implementation of Obamacare, will also be funding implementation of that regulation.
The sterilization-contraceptives-abortifacient regulation takes effect on Aug. 1.
Boehners position had been echoed by Majority Whip Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.) in a press briefing on Monday.
Mind you, I do believe that health insurance should be decoupled from employment..it puts American workers, at a disadvantage with temp workers, and offshored employees, in which the company doesn’t have to worry about covering their insurance.
That should create a market for competitive health care plans where private companies compete for business. But unfortunately, it appears Washington is going to force government care on us.
Seventy-five years ago ( Germany ), sixty years ( Korea ), forty years ago ( Vietnam ) not one American Citizen would have volunteered to give life or limb to defeat those dictatorships had they known America would evolve into a dictatorship as equally callous, and equally ruthless.
Vote out all incumbents.
All a bunch of hot air. Incumbents are rarely voted out. We complain and complain daily and nothing changes. Senator Brown is an incumbent who votes with the Democrats all the time, but guess what? Republicans and even FREEPERS say, but you have to vote for him......I think they like to complain is the bottom line.
Raise your hand if you really thought they would try to defund Obamacare. Yeh.
You are 100% correct
Just more proof that what I’ve repeatedly said for some time........the ballot box has become a worthless lost cause.
I have posted a hundred times that WE HAVE NO LEADERSHIP!!!!
Am I the only one that expected this?
THIS is your republican party....should I say, republocrat party.
The country seriously needs a 2 party system.
Vote Constitution Party, 2012...ESPECIALLY in Solid Blue Obama States.
If the ABO logic is this: "I must hold my nose and vote for Romney because he is the only one who can defeat Obama", then that logic does NOT hold in a blue state like California or New York or Oregon, etc. ROMNEY has no chance there and in those places, so you don't have to HOLD YOUR NOSE. You can vote for a conservative in the presidential race, and it won't matter at all to the outcome in your state.
It WILL, however, send a message to the GOP-E, that conservatives are tired of liberal candidates.
“Neither party is worth a pint of sour owl pee.”
I wouldn’t waste my pee on any of them!
bump
I am not one that says return him at all costs.
To me he doesn’t deserve to be returned.
The bigger problem is Mass. Thats a weird bunch up there.
They love Kennedy’s and Liberals and Homosexuals.
If Boehner really wants to do this, can’t we have a new Speaker next year?
If Boehner really wants to do this, can’t we have a new Speaker next year?
Hi all... there is still time to nominate a conservative who WILL repeal Obamacare, get rid of the Dept of Ed and any other wasteful dept, etc. We should be encouraging this.
I don’t think much will change even if Romney could beat Obama, which I don’t think he can anyway.
